WHY YOU MAKE ME CHOOSE?

I love Red's Theme and the Turks' Theme. Underneath the Rotting Pizza and Don of the Slums are also a good ones. And I like the haunting Who Are You. And ofc I love the battle theme again. gargh. It's ultimately between Who Are You, Red's Theme, and the Turks' Theme, but I think I'm going with the Turks.

Underneath the rotting pizza gets my vote, they're all great tracks though and Still More Fighting is awesome (and hilarious in a OTT prog rock kind of way) but Underneath just reminds me so much of Midgar.

Why?! Why would you do this to me?! Making me choose between Turk's Theme and Under the Rotting Pizza is cruel! Cruel I say! I consider it a very promising step, of course, but you're supposed to be torturing others for my amusement, not me.

I grumblingly choose Under the Rotting Pizza via coin flip.

I vote for ´´Who Are You´´ because it gave me the creeps and was one of the hints that something isn´t right with Cloud.Kept me interested into his character who looked at first rather cold hearted but underneath the shell there´s still a good guy and thankfully even more interesting facts came out soon enough.I think of ´´Who Are You´´ as a song for a brain damage or just something that´s broken because the sound is so creepy, really good song to describe Cloud´s inner fight with his other parts over the control of his body.´´Who Am I´´ sounds like the sequel to this fight showing that he might lose the fight against his bad side in him but that´s a story for another poll : )

I hate you pixel...I can't decide. I think it finally comes down to the Turks Theme and Oppressed People. I've talked before about how cool the Turks Theme is. First with just the snapping and taht little guitar riff, then they keep adding instruments to the eclectic beat and soon it has an almost entirely different groove. Very cool and a very fitting theme for the Turks.

Oppressed People is less inventive I suppose, but I LOVED this song as a kid. This was the song that got me interested in video game sountracks, actually. When I discovered online downloading of music, I don't remember which site it was, one of the early ones, this was the FIRST song I ever downloaded. And for that, I may have to vote for it.

BUT I DON'T LIKE HAVING TO CHOOSE.

I'm stuck between Turks Theme and Still More Fighting. When that secondary, driving drum beat comes in at 1:00 in Turks Theme, it thrills me, but Still More Fighting gets me in the mood for combat (well, one would hope)...but....

*deep breath* Gonna have to go with Turks Theme for this round.

"Still more fighting" gets my vote. "Flowers blooming in the church" a close second, but its not my favourite version of Aerith's theme.

And I didn't go for Red XIII's with the expectation of a later iteration of it, either Valley of the Fallen Star or Great Warrior :monster:

After listening to all eleven songs with my girlfriend, we came to the conclusion that the Turks' Theme was the best song in the group. I thought it was interesting how someone who has never heard them before (her) agreed with someone who has heard them all hundreds of times (me).

If someone asked you to compose a piece of music that used only percussion and six notes for the melody, I think you'd struggle to do any better than Turks' (not Turk's) Theme. The simplicity of the melody allows the percussion to become the highlight of the piece, and it works perfectly. Once again, like the Shinra Theme in the first round, it completely suits its purpose, giving an impression of a very smooth operation that has high standards and doesn't just mindlessly follow orders - consider the Mythril Mines, where they don't fight you, Wutai, where you temporarily work together with them, and Midgar, where you have the option of not fighting them if you have fought them enough times before. They needed a cool soundtrack, and they definitely got one.

The original Turk's Theme was so kickass, I couldn't help but vote for it.

Oh noooo how can I choose between Infiltrating Shinra Tower and Oppressed People?! I can't chose.... noooo....

It must be the Shinra one because the Shinra building made quite an impression on me, and that song was perfect for it - sorta creepy but still a little funky.

I went with Still More Fighting because of the impression it left on me when I first heard it. I also think it really stands out among the rest of the tracks in the soundtrack.
