Trailer dialogue analysis

Flint mused about whether they were Biggs and Wedge? Wedge should probably look a little fatter, but maybe? Or maybe one of them's even Jessie? Didn't get a good look.

What's with those soldiers btw? I mean, they do not look like traditional Shinra troops...?

Ah, yes, I noticed that too. I have no idea really what these guys are supposed to be. If they are Shinra troops, then they have been redesigned.

Here they are.

...someone said that...but now I can't find it. Maybe I have gone insane.

Hm...I dunno then. Neither had beards... Seems like they could be carrying Shinra SMGs...

Long ago, we looked upon a foreboding sky.

"Before/previously people looked up at the/that sky." (nothing about foreboding in the subtitles)

The memory of the star that threatened all burns eternal in our hearts.

"The bright star that [would/does] engulf everything will always be remembered." (no substantial difference)

In its wake came an age of silence.

"And [following that] we lived [in/through] an age of silence."

Yet with each fond remembrance, we knew: those encountered were not forgotten.

"Each time we look back on [our/those] memories we realise that we have not forgotten them [those people]."

That someday, we would see them again.

"[We wonder if we] might meet/see them again someday." (this doesn't have the same sense of 'knowing' that comes across from the English dialogue and sounds more uncertain)

Perhaps it was no more than wishful thinking.

"That [such a] feeling/premonition, too, perhaps was merely a wish/desire."

But after the long calm, there are now beginnings of a stir.

"[We] live/passed time [through] a long quiet/silence, and eventually [we] start to sense a stirring."

The reunion at hand may bring joy, it may bring fear.

"Even if that reunion is mixed with joy and fear," (continues to the next line)

But let us embrace whatever it brings.

"[for] now let us [say/take these] irrepressible emotions [are/as] joy" (more positive 'let's be happy about this' message)

For they are coming back.

"They are coming back"

At last, the promise has been made.

"That time [their return] has finally been promised."

When comparing the artwork for BC Avalanche members, Ravens (almost the same uniform except black with a red visor) and the guys in the trailer, the resemblance is quite striking.

I think it's Bigg's and Jessie climbing the pillar to get to Barret. Wedge is at the bottom on his ass and the chopper above is what lands so the turks can arm the bomb. The person behind is clearly smaller, suggesting to me that it's a woman.

I made a post on reddit about our articles (in the FF subreddit). I can't guarantee it'll get any traction, but it's there at least :D.

This is an article from thelifestream.net. If you want the newest info on anything FF7 (both big and small) then I highly suggest visiting their site often. Their community is the most passionate I've ever seen.

Doesn't that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

Maybe those guys in the trailer are the Averlanche that the Wall Market wall warned us about.

That's astonishing.

It's not a direct copy of our article; the analysis is quite different (though it wouldn't surprise me if the author had borrowed from the visual analysis feature, which went into a lot more depth than my article did), but the format is identical. Except we have translations with ours, because we're better.:P

I'm going to link to our article in the comments.
