Because they make a disgustingly large amount of money, despite the fact that they're about as substantive as a microwaved dog turd.

Yeah, I read this new earlier today.

I wouldn't mind more movies if Michael Bay weren't involved.

Sadly, that will probably never happen.

(...)Michael Bay has already confirmed that he's going to direct one of them - Transformers 5 - and then he plans to hand the series over to someone else. (...)

Yes! There's still some justice in the world! :monster:

I don't mind Bay at all :monster:

I'm not going in expecting Tarantino masterpieces. Hell I'm not even expecting Pacific Rim.

The guy makes movies for 13 year olds about robots beating the shit out of robots. They are dumb movies for sure but with the exception Transformers 2 I've never walked away feeling like I wasn't entertained by the film.

Further more in certain regards Bay is really really good at what he does. All of the movies he makes feature some really spectacular shots and camera work. In regards to framing the man is actually a genius in cinema. Many many directors have tried to rip off his style and flopped hard in fact Every Frame a Painting has an excellent video about this very point. EFaP is an excellent channel regarding the art of cinema if you are at all interested in how Movies are created and all of its intricacies you should really check out this amazing channel , anyway here's his take on Bayhem

idk. I think the meme is rather over stated. Sure the movies don't hold a candle to the Transformers franchise proper but it's not like these movies are actually "bad".

Yeah part 2 legitimately bores and also pisses me off.

So much hype for The Fallen and he gets fucking 1 shot. What a joke lol.

I've always said that Transformers would be better without the humans, :monster:. Take those away and you're left with a visually (very) impressive flick.

After watching Transformers 4, I echo this statement wholeheartedly. For me, the best part of the movie were the Transformers themselves. I hated the human subplot.

And as much as I love Marky Mark, even he couldn't help that film along.

I didn't like TF 3, but I would take that film any day over the 4th one.

Even if Ironhide was killed off in it. Never forgave Bay for that one. >_>

Age of Extinction literally sucked out my movie-loving soul for a while (as some of you may remember), but I'm not against them as a whole.

Blackout's transformation scene at the start of the first movie is still one of my favourite parts of any of the movies, because it emphasized the transformation being significant, cool, and unexpected.

I just hope that they can make them focused and at least a bit enjoyable by making them follow a series-like release, rather than the, "cram everything into them right now and fuck making any sense" like the last one did. As Tres & I mentioned back when this was first rumored, there are elements that might make this (finally) work.

Don't care if Bay leaves or the humans are featured less or if we get leads I dislike less then Wahlberg and LaBeouf, the Transformers themselves look like **** too. Can't tell Megatron from Starscream, led anyone the rest. They're there to sell toys, this movie series has already failed at the most basic level, Transformers needs a clean reboot or be left alone.

Yeah, Bay can come up with some fantastic shots, but then he repeats them. And again. And again. I don't care what anyone else says either, most of the time I can't tell wtf is happening in most of those fights. I don't know which one, but Optimus is fighting some dudes, shoots out his arm blade thing, about a min later it's apparently a red hot hook? I have no clue if it got super heated and bent, it's actually a completely different weapon, or something else entirely.

And I fell asleep during the third movie. Watched it at home, and fell asleep. And that's the biggest flaw of these. You can go on about how badly they're written, or don't know whats happening, or how unfunny or offensive it is, but no movie should be dull. That's the biggest sin a movie can commit, be boring. If it does that, then it has failed to hook you on any sort of level whatsoever, and these movies do that to me.
