He's not dead, he's still doing voice work.

Oh, god. I was just about to say. When the mention of "Hojo's original voice actor died a few years ago", I thought the actor had actually died. Nearly had a half-heart attack, lol.

But then again, so far, Hojo only had one voice actor. Like I said, I have no issues with him having a different actor...I just feel sorry for ANYONE to have to voice that evil heartless/monster of a scientest. Then again, Hojo's the ONLY character in existance of anything I've seen that is cringe worthy that he even gives the guy he is being voiced as the cringes.

Everything else, while I do have big issues with change of voice acting(or acting in general) in anything, not once have I said that any other characters had made me and those actors cringe, until now.

Also dreading what Scarlet and Heidegger will sound like when they finally get voice actors.

Oh, I see. Now I understand. Poor guy. I wonder how he died. Thanks for clearing that up, guys.

Guess Xehanort from KH series isn't the only evil bad guy that needs a replacement of actors in both Japanese and English.

What was Hojo's Japanese voice actor's name again?

@ Steve Burton's accent:

He doesn't really have a stand-out type of accent that I can tell. Just kind of the standard/general "broadcast standard" accent really.

What does he sound like to you guys?

Unlucky

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN
^He pronounces some words quite differently. Rarely happens but it's there.

But I'm not American, let alone a native English speaker so maybe it's just me.

Yeah, Steve is from Indiana, and I think his little twang is perfect for "backwater" Cloud. I mean look at Tifa. She freakin' wore a cowgirl outfit in CC. Cloud's accent could be A LOT HEAVIER if you look at it in that light. Therefore, Burton's slight twang is enough and perfect. Dilly dally shilly shally on you.

How far north is north? Like from the New England area? I'm from Minnesota. If I go any further north I'm in Canada. :P

LOL! Good point there... "the North" to me is like... starting from Pennsylvania and up, I guess. Anything in the middle is "midwest", even if it's in the north, and then there's the west. So I guess I should say I'm from the northeast.

Keeping on topic, Cloud sounds midwestern since Steve Burton is midwestern.

I think Rachel Leigh Cook has a similar accent to Burton. Its very slight, but there is a little lilt to their accents.

^I didn't know that :P

According to Wikipedia she went to high school just two miles from where I currently live. :monster:

gotcha beat - she came to my high school to do an interview for "She's All That" at our cable access station. My brother's best friend interviewed her, and I asked a pre-scripted question from the audience (written/arranged by my teacher/station-manager) and collected her signatures on all the posters for the cable station. I got paid too.
