Are the new Zeldas really that good? I know this is up for debate, just 'cause different people have different opinions, but...
I remember the first one. I loved that game, though I never beat it. I got to level five - and then found my file for that game deleted.
Personally, I wish they never made another Zelda game; it just seemed like a one-shot deal, no matter how good it was. A true classic.

Fuck you ngr, it's better than Halo and such. And it has unique gameplay, more unique than the Wii, for example. A lot more complex, too - where the Wii only has two or four buttons, the PS2 has like fourteen, and the eksbawks has something similar, you need a 39-buttoned controller to operate this epic game. Its graphics were mind-boggling fifteen years ago, its sound effects are the best yet, and its voice acting... Hold on, I just came thinking about the voice acting, gotta clean up.
Back. In any case, TotD is the best game ever.

Also VII has won before, and Cloud and Seph have both taken the #1 and #2 spots respectively before, only loosing out to Link and some Zelda game every other year or so it seems.

I voted for VII, btw.
Mostly because I don't like Zelda and FFX, while amazing, can't edge out VII in my esteem. Game that got me into RPGs, after all.
But yeah, lack of a universally acceptable MGS game on the entire list is utter failure on everyone's parts. And Chrono Trigger, unless I missed it somewhere.
