Went with Billy Joel, as that song is basically just a list of stuff and it cracks me up when he sings:

Starkweather homicide, children of thalidomide *guitar riff*

Like how inappropriate is that? Plus ask the stuff he lists isnt even in chronological order.

Yep, so for comedy value I got to go with billy. Plus the tune is actual quite good.

Not only is there no Queen, but there is nothing by The Clash, Crowded House, Elton John, Kate Bush, Prince, The Smiths, Stevie Wonder... and the only Billy Joel song is one of his most gimmicky songs, though I admit it's very catchy.

However, not wanting to be too pedantic, I'll pretend that the poll is simply asking me to vote for my favourite song of the given choices, and oblige by voting for Michael Jackson's Billie Jean.

I'm so sorry! It was sooo hard to pick just 10 songs! (Especially when you're biased towards U2) There are soo many great songs from the 80's!

On that list "Take On Me - A-Ha" sounds the most like the 80s, but I voted U2 as it's my favourite on that list.

Also I agree, this list needs more Queen.
