I quit YGO when I ended my days as a mod at Northern Duel Academy.

Crush Card Virus was around $300 at it's peak before it was banned. While it may not be as powerful in the show, it still kills any monster with 1500 or more attack on the field, and discards them from the hand. AND for 3 turns your opponent has to constantly show what they draw, and discard anything that has 1500 attack. It's frankly, a boot to the face.

lol, I just found it funny that it's not even close to the show's: every single monster in your entire deck with >1500 attack goes to the graveyard - and it's still too powerful, heehee.

I'm pretty sure I have it, I just never used it for some reason.

And just speaking of facedown cards, do you usually just keep one or two down, Mako? Or are you usually loaded full? I just know show only ever used 1 or 2 at a time, and inexperienced players frequently always keep 5 cards down. I've wondered what the "real" players do.

The real ones play their cards conservatively, most of the time. Five facedowns being taken out by a Heavy Storm or the like is a huge blow to your card advantage.

Also if CCV took out every monster with >1500 and sent it to the graveyard, it would be underpowered as all hell, since that thins their deck immensely, helping them draw what they need, as well as enables them to immediately summon things from the graveyard with extreme ease.

Well considering that usually is about 2/3rds of an opponents monster line up, that's a lot. And it's not just the monster destruction effect.

It's the fact that for three turns. You get to see every card they draw. And can play around it. Along with the fact you see their hand when its activated. That's WAY too much control.

And I only set more than 3 face downs if I have a Solemn or something to back it up. Since Heavy Storm is no longer banned, it's kinda silly to just set your whole hand and think that's okay.

Ok, if we want to use dueling network we should probably exchange our usernames for that site. Also, do we just our real life decks there, or just make whatever? Either way is fine by me.

Mako and I spoke a little on the subject, and we figured a good way to kick things off and really get this thread goign would be to have a TLS yugioh tournament. We would of course use the Dueling Network for the duels themselves.

The tournament would be set up on a win loss ratio system. So rather than being booted the first time you loose everybody would participate in a certain number of duels, and at the end whoever has the best win/loss ratio would be the winner.

The only thing we really need to do is figure out who all wanst to participate, and figure out a time to host said tournament that would be convenient for all participants.

So lets get down to buisness. Who wants to see this happen?
