I 'got' them by listening to Octopus over 4 times. No matter how experienced you are with avant garde composing and prog/technical music, their approach to songrwriting, harmonies and melodies and vocal arrangements is very, very unique. They seem to put more ideas in five minute songs than some prog bands do in actual epics. I think Ilike Octopus the most, but Acquiring The taste is really growing on me. I also have Three Friends, which I really liked after the first listen (while being comfortable with their unique sound) but I need to give it some time.
I think it takes some patience to get into them.
