ok people this is where i get off saying that ur being very prejudice yes her constant cliche of emotions conflicted with her awesomeness and yeah ninja team turned an innocent character into a moreso sexually portrayed heroine, but seriously the whole idea for permission from adam....... that could be thought of as another way of obtaining items, its unoriginal, another thing: because this actually showed her full emotions dont u think it was appropriate to cower before something she previously assumed was dead? it killed her damn parents! otherwise i thought it was a great game, u people down it as if it was emant to be the SAME EXACT THING even after being handed over to another company........

also, Adam is apparently emotionally abusive. I see no other reason for him not to let her use her suit. There were many other ways they could have had her not able to use her suit, like the monster causing it to malfunction which didn't have Adam sitting on his ass and being like 'oh yeah I'm putting you in danger AREN'T I HOT SAMUS LOLOLOLOL'

and it wasn't handed over, it was still done by Nintendo. And she has killed Ridley only to have him come back several other times in the Prime games and in Fusion where he's a fucking zombie. She doesn't blink a fucking eye those times.

I'm sorry, maybe Nintendo didn't want an awesome, kickass space bounty hunter who was independent and saved people of her own desire. Maybe they just wanted another girl who secretly desires for big strong men to save her at every turn but can't, wah wah. If you support the shit they did to Samus and her relationship with Adam, I'm sorry but you are a fucktard. Goodbye <3

I'd buy a game where Ridley got the emotional expansion of character development(TM) over one where Samus got the same honestly. Have him be a hardcore misanthropic (but applied to everyone who isn't a brain in a jar or himself, not just humans) figure who is arrogant and backs it up.... right up to the final boss, which is Samus. At that point the whole internal monologue by Ridley falls apart into "FUCK its that chick who always kills me! I come back from getting my entire body blown to vapor when my fucking planet explodes and she's still here! Fuck, shoot some fireballs at her then RUN!" That'd honestly be the more convincing moment than the reverse we saw in Other M.

On the subject of awaiting orders to use equipment, that would make perfect sense for everything but suit upgrades. Remember in most Metroid games Samus is about the only non-combatant on the planet, and even when she's not ala Prime 2 with the Luminoth they asked her to go fuck the Ing's shit up. So friendly fire is less an issue than working in the Bottle Ship with a bunch of former team-mates. Remember what happens to Space Pirates when you blast em with a charged shot from the Plasma Beam? I don't think she'd take it well if Adam came around a corner and got incinerated while she was shooting at something else.

Unless he's away from his console trying to hunt down the eraser himself. Considering he's completely silent at that point in the game, and very hurriedly tells Samus to turn Varia on, I could buy he was AFK for awhile.

Actually, they didn't think she was a Bounty hunter at all. That was an invention of the Eng Manual. It cause some serious confusion when Retro wanted to put some in the Prime series and NoJ had no idea what they were talking about.
