Lol, 'Little Mermaid' was always my favorite Disney movie when I was little, hell, I even knew the entire movie word-for-word as well XD. Parents always thought it was cute. I agree with first post-er, I really loved 'Lion King' and adult Simba was voiced by one of my favorite actors of all-time, Matthew Broderick! I like both that one and the sequel . Other's I faved were 'Beauty and the Beast', 'Aladdin', 'Cinderella', 'Pocahontas' (gotta love Mel Gibson XP), etc.

I do miss those old-skool days of animation and whatnot, but hey, I am looking forward to 'Princess and the Frog', seems really interesting. Funny thing, one of the few older Disney movies I never saw was 'Sleeping Beauty' LOL. Don't know why, just never got around to it . Guess I'm just wierd like that, lolz.

Her forehead and eyes are too large, her mouth and nose are too small, she has typical markers of someone who's meant to be young.

And I never said her rescuer looked young, just Rapunzel.

It's Rapunzel, an upcoming computer-animated Disney film, using both 2D and 3D animation tecniques (not too clear on that one). From what I've heard, they want to include her in the princess lineup?

I can't really say she looks young in the concept pic. Her face is a little too tiny and undetailed to really say anything, and her body type indicates she should at least be in her teens. I personally think she looks far younger in her CG render than she does in the pics I previously posted (can be seen here and here). She looks like she's just hit puberty.
From these few little teasrers, the colours and backgrounds look great and really retain the painterly feeling, but that doesn't change the fact that Rapunzel/the way the characters are drawn looks terribly ugly imo.

I think in the new art scans of hers (just looked it up lol) her head is a bit too big. She's just very short looking, which gives her the child appearance. I would know, being 4'11 can be a problem when you're 17 lol

I think she's suppose to be around the age 16-19 though, which could also explain why she looks young. Also, those scans are basically sketches. Designs could change.

Their faces look similar I agree, but this kid seems a little less evil than Darla, who's generally a lot more exaggerated. Also the way she abuses that poor cat (!!!). I hope this kid doesn't end up becoming a total cunt...

NECRO POST

So... I saw Tangled on Wednesday.

First off: the princess is 18 so fap away.

Second: I am stanning the movie so hard right now. Even though I really enjoyed Princess and the Frog, I felt it was missing a certain charm that you find in most Disney movies. In particular, I felt the romance really lacking. All the stuff missing from PatF is definitely present in Tangled. It really harkens back to 90's Disney movies.

Third: I am actually really, really glad this was in CGI. The textures added a really important feel to the film that I don't think would have been quite the same if it was hand drawn.

All in all, I am very pleased with it. The last time I was smiling so hard in the theatre was when I went to go see Enchanted.
