Personally, I think Maiden was written quite blandly and is just a crap ass version of CoL with Zack and in detail of who she helped. Not to mention it makes Aerith rather OOC. I dislike the story and it seems people only hold on to it as a temporay solution for pro-Clerith until something better came out. Well there is beloved now, so no need for that garbage.
Utter rubish really, but if you care, it is a story called Hoshi wo Meguru Otome which is translated to Maiden of Who Travels the Planet. It is a story of Aerith travelling through the lifestream basically doing what she was in CoL just more in too detail. It was written by Benny Matsuyama, not FFVII's writer Nojima but is still put into the Ultimania Omega book. If you care to read it here is a link:
You see that is kinda of the sad part of Clerith's who count in canon. I like Clerith along with Cloti, Zerith etc. just Clerith is my favorite at the moment, but I have never counted that shit canon. Clerith fans who go wild over Aerith saying that confuses me because they seem to analyze the fuck out of everything, but when this is put bluntly they keep it that way. Whereas from what i've seen Cloti's have done things the other way around. Idk, I still hate Maiden and will continue to count it as unofficial.
Also, now that koibito is in CoL, have the Clerith updated their koibito articles? Have they re-contacted Resha's Japanese friend? Destinyfailed hasn't updated!!
I would have to agree, but not all Clerith's do that really, but the ones that do that are a bit...err idk what to call it really. And about Cloud giving Tifa her blessings I never caught that part...when she got jealous Tifa helped him or what? Hrm, it doesn't really matter if so or if not Maiden isn't canon so who gives a rats ass.

Forgive me for making a general assumption (according to anastar we Clotis are notorious for doing that) but it's been my experience from lurking on LTD threads that this is what happen.

.You're entitled to your own opinion about the site, but I still enjoy reading DF posts. However, I do cringe whenever they make personal attacks :\ Most of the time they're just bashing the claims that they can't defend in a more open forum and that's the part I find really entertaining.

But the things said in Maiden, weren't exactly official. They were Benny's assumptions about it right? The lifestream is similar to the promised land, their are so many mysteries about it that are unsolved still. Plus CoL was written in more of a mysterious manner and third-person subjective, rather than Maiden that more had some 1st party views imo.
I know, I know and this is thelifestream not DF so we shouldn't act like it is because i'm sure there are other people here that dislike it, like me. The thing on DF is they are usually making personal attacks. At least the pick out names and such. The sad part is many times they don't take a whole post or they don't see what the person posting means so it comes out looking waaay worse than it actual was. And the people who read DF but not the whole post on CxA think that some of the members are terrible when many aren't really that bad. :/
