If I had to choose, I'd probably go with IV, for the reasons null has already stated, but I honestly wouldn't want to live in any of them.

If I were to live in a video game world, I'd definitely go with Pokemon. Living there would be fucking AWESOME.

With XIII, don't get me wrong, I don't want to be purged or killed by the fall of Cocoon or any of that, yet... I like the fal'Cie, and feel for them.

Even Barthandelus I don't think was evil (not exactly nice, but not evil).

Hmmmmm... Honestly, I don't know. Playing the game, it seems to be a beautiful world, but Kefka goes and ruins it, plus takes what little magic there was remaining out of it... I like the idea of a world with a much more spiritual essence (by no means am I meaning to be offensive, but especially the absence of the three main monotheistic religions of today.)

Pretty sure Satsu was being sarcastic there. VI is my favourite game in the series, but it would also be by far the most hellish world to live in, mostly because of what Kefka does to it (admittedly, the World of Balance wouldn't be that bad to live in if you're outside the Empire, but of course that all comes crashing down halfway through the game). The only setting I can think of in the series that'd be as bad to live in is the slums of Midgar, and that's not an entire world; it's just part of a city.

btw, in that TLS profile thing I selected the Pokemon world as my first choice as a fantasy world to be in. So much more peaceful than the ff worlds.

I'd love to tour the FFVII world. Gold Saucer, Wutai, Junon and Rocket Town would be the places to go. And then I'd rent a Chocobo to trek the snowy island in the North. Occasionally I'd visit Kalm when I want a break from my stressful Midgar-life.

And when I feel lost I'd go to Cosmo Canyon to sit around the bonfire and get stoned and talk about the Planet/meaning of life

VI's world might be okay to live in post-game. The World of Balance does get restored once Kefka is no longer using the Triad's power to slowly choke it.

Somewhat ironically, VIII is the one I would want to live in, but it's one of the only ones that we know for sure has a cataclysm awaiting it post-game. We don't know how bad it's going to be, of course, but nothing you do in the course of the game changes that it will happen -- nor can it be changed, for that matter.

I guess XII is the only other post-game scenario that has a crap future awaiting it. Ivalice seems pretty nice to live in during XII, but really shitty during Tactics -- and not a whole lot better during Vagrant Story. It wouldn't be until the Tactics Advance era that I would want to set foot in it again. Of course, depending on how much like the real world it is then (a lot, apparently), that might defeat the point of this whole exercise.

...really? I don't remember that. I thought they basically removed Kefka and the Triad, but the world was still, you know, the world of Ruin.

This may sound insane but I'm really attracted to Final Fantasy X's world. I love the Asian and Island like culture and clothing, blitzball and pretty buildings and lands. There is Sin and a cult religion to deal with but I guess I'll just be like Rikku and just respect those who believe in Yevon and just deal with it.

I love the FFX world the most post X and X-2 due to how touristy it looks. I hare the XIII world the most because its a world of despair and death blanketed by a saccharine look in the beginning. and because Fanille and Serah are in it. these two factors alone made me wish General Zod landed there and fucked its shit up.

There are working toilets in Vector too (which isn't surprising since Kefka's Tower is made out of the ruins of Vector), but you'd have to deal with the impending threat of Kefka destroying the world

The ending shows the re-greening of the world map (in fact the Japanese name of the ending theme is even "Reviving Green"). It's not clear if the landmasses get moved back to their original locations though On the other hand

Spira or Ivalice in FFXII! I'd give to live in either, land of adventures and endless roads. I feel VII feels depressing for me to be in. In X, I wanna be in Luca or in Wakka's place without a doubt. The white sandy beaches is just to Die for! In Ivalice, I wish to be in the city of adventure where Vaan hails from. (cant remember the name)
