White Forum Skin Request

Offtimes when there's not much going on at work I like to see what new posts are here... When my boss walks around though it doesn't look too good having a dark forum skin up...

perhaps we could introduce a white forum skin option to make it look like those of us at work are doing something useful?... a white skin like those ones in the programming forums?

I've got to say though, props on the narrow skin. Its too sexy. I love it.

Thanks, if that's the one I think it is, though it doesn't go with the green background too well.

Question— If I cba to make some different colored themes, what can be changed in a theme? Is the green/black gradient background image there to stay? What about the actual forum colors (post background, post borders, default font colors, etc.)? I've been secretly toying with a purple and black theme to Donate To The Cause after someone expressed the desire for one recently, but I gotta know what can actually be changed.

Isn't the default style Pixel's Dead Aerith theme? It's still mostly black. She wants a white one.

Oh, although, I can foresee a major problem with forcing white backgrounds on posts... Most people have a custom font color that only looks good on dark backgrounds. Unless a white theme can force a default font color on everyone when you're using the white theme to view it, you might be SOL.

Every skin here is really nice tbh, and I love all of them, but for some reason I really take to the narrow one... It keeps my attention better or something...

I suppose if you really want to use the white skin, you'll have to change your default font color...

Seriously, I don't know why you expect us to create a skin just for you, so you can surf the forum from work. I mean, that's a bit silly to expect. Either use that, or actually do work at work

The default skin when you register is The Lifestream skin, iirc. The "Default Style" is the regular vB skin, which is white.

Look at the default skin, and tell me if that's dark to you. As in, choose "Default Skin."

And you can request all you want, but why don't you look at what you've got first before requesting something, that's..kinda already there.

In her defense, when I choose "Default Skin" I see the same theme as when I choose "The Lifestream"—which is Pixel's Dead Aerith graphic with gray text and whatnot.

But I agree, do work while at work. Problem solved there.

You shouldn't. The "Default Skin" is the default V-Bulletin skin, that's white. Are you sure?

When you choose it, make sure to refresh or navigate a link. Then you'll definitely see the change. I just tried it now, and its white.

Nope. Apparently mine has been set to default this entire time. And it's black. No different than lifestream. The other two show up.

Not that I care. Just saying.

What other Forum can I use neon green font in? I lurve it, so don't change it.
