Well I was thinking you're right about the summon thing if it's a controllable non love interest female character from X that doesn't appear in X-2, but Shiva appears in other FF's that we've ruled out.

The only other female Aeons are the Magus Sisters - Cindy, Mindy and Sandy. Or Anima, since it's established that it's a she.

Ohh, I've never gotten the Magus Sisters, which would explain my ignorance! And you're right, I didn't think about the fact that Shiva is obviously in other games. I was just grasping at straws and forgot that the questions had established that already.
