Winnie The Pooh

I got some problems with it (Craig Ferguson as Owl? eh....) But holy crap, if you dont get misty eyed watching this you never had a childhood.

I dont care what people say, opening weekend ticket for me.

If that's truly how it's going to look and be, then I think people need to take tips from this. THIS is to do "childhood favourites right" - and this coming from someone who's only a semi-fan of the series (never liked Pooh bear).

About time something's not "upgraded" (heh) and thrown in the modern-3D machine alone.

I'm so glad Disney's doing hand drawn stuff again. there's just something more genuine about it.

P.S.

I'll reserve judgement for the movie itself, but that trailer moved my heart. Misty eyed, indeed...

I should watch more English Winnie The Pooh. The Swedish voices are great but I can see I've been missing part of the experience.

I grew up with this.

I agree; especially since I heard that there was the risk that they wouldn't even be doing much of that after putting aside "Snow Queen" (at least, I think that was it?) and turning Rapunzel/Tangled into 3D.

I hope this movie does well and that they will actually do more hand drawn stuff again beyond this.

My niece watches Winnie the Poo. I was watching her once and the new Winnie the Poo was on and I saw it was cgi now, and they replaced the guy character with some random girl.

I raged. Then I felt stupid for raging at a Disney cartoon. Then I got over it and raged some more.

Fuck yes I'll be going to this. Winnipeg might be full of violence and drunk drivers and mosquitoes but that bear makes up for all of it.

It's CG now? Last I saw (flipping channels during the midday looking for something I could use as background noise) it was puppets.

YES.

This + Muppets revival = my childhood.

Doesn't hurt that Winnie is one of my favourite animated characters ever.

Maybe it was only for a few direct to dvd things. But it was definitely CG.

Disney does everything CG now.

I never really watched Winnie The Pooh as a child, but this does look cute. :)

I came into this thread expecting some sort of CGI remake, and am pleased that it isn't. It kind of made my day.

Then this ruined it.

I did not even pay attention to what that video was about, and then you made me curious. :/
