If you're out to find a good SaGa game, try Minstrel's Song for the ps2. Best game ever, imo. But you should know that all SaGa games have many characters and features but they're very non-linear.

I know, I used to have it before I lost all my ps2 games a while back.

I'm going to make a trip to gamestop to see if they have a copy. Not much chance though, since RPGs aren't big in these parts.

I got that game on rental once ages ago. Took it back the same day and asked the guy for a swap since it was so crap.

And no, Dacon, in the Genesis games and older cartoons he was called Robotnik. But maybe I'm thinking of just the newer cartoon where theyonly ever call him Dr. Eggman. Is he even in the newer games?

This. I agree whole-heartedly. I don't mind 'Eggman' being a taunting nickname but as for a real name? Just no.

In Sonic SatAM his real name before he took over Mobeus was like Julian or something.

I've read that this is a great game you just have to learn it and then you'll start to enjoy it...well I've tried hard to enjoy it, read guides until I was sure I understood it and tried starting on the easiest character but there's a line between hard and just plain stupid/annoying and this is defiantly one of those plain stupid ones if you ask me. The characters are bad and the voice acting is ear-bleeding also.
I could go on and on about how much I hate this game but I'm too lazy sorry :p

The best things about this game are the soundtrack and the box (both are decent).

You are correct, from what I remember he he gets banished from whoever the enemies of King Acorn were so joins the other side as a warlord, then when the war or whatever was over the king was gonna make him some science minister but then Robotnik overthrew him.
