Your character encoding is probably set to something stupid. See what it's set to.

GAH. I can see some posts... But but

I never changed my encoding. It was on Auto-detect -> Westen (ISO-something) and then I put it on unicode to fix it, but... still squares.

Can't read what I'm typing so I hope it looks coherent at least.

It's apparently supposed to be ISO-8859-1. So that's probably your problem.

It was on ISO-8859-1 before I changed it Unicode. Then I changed it back.

At a guess, it's probably because I have special font formatting around it. And if ISO-8859-1 isn't working I'd suggest restarting your browser, and if that doesn't work then restarting your computer. And if that doesn't work then try clearing your cookies, and if that doesn't work then I'm out of ideas

edit: also do you have some non-Latin-script font overriding the default fonts on the page? That could be screwing things up as well.

Why anyone would even bother with encoding settings in their browser (if that's even possible) escapes me, . Unless they're 1337 pr0 developers and know what they're doing, then it's okay.
