My name is Tori and I have been a fan of Final Fantasy 7 since I was either 14 or 15 I used to be on the Advent Children forums as Silent-Dreamer025. I wanted to try it out because I met Yuffie in Kingdom Hearts and I was "I like her! She is cute and spunky!" Yeah I met Aerith, Cloud and Cid (who was awesome) but I was "Give me Yuffie or give me death!"
I played Final Fantasy VIII before VII so I knew 'Leon'/Squall
My favorite girl is Tifa Lockhart, you can ask my tumblr. ibecause I feel inspired by her. Ever since I met her I have had a weak spot for a good martial arts/ monk like girl.
My favorite pairing for Final Fantasy VII is Zack/Aerith because they give me so many feels, both good and bad. I remember the first time I played the game when Aerith asks about Zack (or Zax) to Cloud I was "I hope they get reunited" and the more we learned about him in Disk 1 I was "I hope we get to see him" even after Aerth's death and then I learned the truth what happen to him....I cried like a baby.
I adore Red XIII because I am a cat person and he is basically a giant kitty that talks and that would be a dream come true to me...maybe that dream should stay a dream with my cats.

I think Final Fantasy VII will always be part of me for several reasons (mostly because I will never see another male lead in a hottub full of men and dress up like a girl), I still play it on my psp along with Crisis Core. I never played Dirge because I suck at shooters but I would have liked to play it.

On my life outside of Final Fantasy VII, I enjoy video games in general and usually I play either PC or PSP these days...though recently I got into about 3 visual novels (one is a otome game). I always enjoy MMO's and can't wait for Guild Wars 2

I work at a university in network monitoring
My family owns 5 cats
I like drawing.
I want to write something someday...
Currently reading "Clash of the Kings"
I enjoy a good role-play
I am a crack addict to tumblr
And most of the time I lurk....

So I am a open book and ask away!

And Dirge's gameplay is decidedly arcade-y, if you know what I mean. I'm not very good at shooters either but I didn't have any trouble with the game. The controls strike as more 'action game' than shooter outside using the sniper rifle.
Many people here will advise you against playing Dirge for other reasons, I'm just saying don't let a fear of the controls stop you.

Yup I live in Florida where we have a corrupt Governor, a lot of alligators and the infamous Sunk Ape. Also lots of Orange grooves and actually related to someone who found a Sunken Spanish ship.

Okay I will keep that in mind because me and console shooters are not a good mix. I know it didn't get good reviews but I still want to play it because well it is Vinny and he jumps more. And also Yuffie...again....

I usualy lurk from the serious hardcore stressful debates but I like to joke in general like "You think Barrett still owns the Sailor uniform?" and talk about what to enjoy in a character or a moment.

Um it was a relative! And it had gold on it! That wasn't cursed which is hard to come by!
Not much known about it online, just small bits if you look up "Gurr" and Spanish sunken ship"

Well you know Vincent has always known to be in strange situations...you know little girls hiding under his cloak, cellphonless, in love with a woman who was married to a mad scientist....oh yeah that one problem where he sleeps in a coffin and can change into horror like creatures....:desucait:

2. As ForceStealer already pointed out, Dirge isn't what I'd call a true shooter (not in the sense of CoD and whatnot, which types of games I suck at), so don't let that stop you from playing. A lot of people here tend to bash it, and I guess I can understand why, but I still thought it was a fun game, and I loved all of the Vincent back story (I loves me some Vincent...mrow), so I honestly think it's worth it to play. I just went through it a second time during this past Spring semester, when I did a compilation marathon with Force (which was awesome and I highly recommend doing sometime).

4. Random fact, I used to live in Florida, in Dade City.

Yeah, it's a bit lackluster in the Yuffie department. I need to get around to recording for the Dirge LP. I'll start that after my beach trip.

DoC is such a waste of good elements, and that's why it gets bashed, I think, that and the internet bashing bandwagon that folks tend to hop onto at times. It's not a terrible terrible game, but it is a disappointment.
