I know I was able to rename Shiva Prostitut in FFVIII, so there'd be like 9 slots, I assume.

I'm so boring I can only play if they have their 'real' names, though I do always rename Cait Sith Reeve as I find it (him) slightly more bearable that way.

My first play-through I renamed Nanaki/Red XIII to "Shithead". Mainly because I just got done watching the movie "The Jerk" with Steve Martin in it and that's what he ends up naming his dog in that movie.

Otherwise, I didn't rename any of my characters anything, and the time I played through FFVII completely, I kept Red XIII's original name.

Well, once, I renamed all my Male characters with varying names relating to testicles, and the Females with names of breasts. I couldn't think of another testicle name for Vincent or Cid, so I named them NeedleDik and NoSunshyn.

And then there was the time I named everyone their respective names... backwards.

And when I simply renamed Cait Sith as Your Ass. Oh, I could go on...

I was 11 when I played the game the first time, so I hadn't renamed anyone. Only nowadays that I play it again (and reeeeeaaaaaaally slowly), I decided I'd have fun with this.


Cloud - Spiky (Unimaginative, but the funniest part is that Barret never insults him with this nickname anymore... he calls him by name!)
Barret - Ecologist (Because he is.)
Tifa - Goddess (DUH)
Aeris/th - Barbie (It's the pink. On the other hand, seeing the phrase "Barbie is dead!", leaves me in glee...)
Red XIII - Gentleman (It's the way he talks.)
Caith Sith - Meow (I know... )
Yuffie - Woof (Her name does sound like it!)
Vincent - Alucard ()
Cid - Smoky (Unimaginative as well... bah.)
