Your Favorite FFVIII Character

Despite my initial distaste for him, Squall became my favorite character. I just felt he grew the most and had the most emotional investment to the story. I think his stoic wall facade crumbled believably, because in most cases it's not a gradual shift, but something often puts a crack in it and then it collapses fairly quickly. That's my take anyway.

I haven't played FFVIII (any main FF too) but I voted for Rinoa. I love Squall's psyche and teenage issues but the way Rinoa forced him to waltz is just plain awesome.

And miraculously, he knew how to waltz almost perfectly.

I think he had probably been practising in front of a mirror in his dorm every night.

Edea. I don't have any especific reasons like other people, but I fell in love the moment I saw her. Also, after reading tiff's post I also go for Quistis as a second choice. I can pretty much feel like her "an outsider" or that's how I saw her throughout the game. Without saying that she was the only character I could stand. And havig a whip as her weapon? I love ittt
