What do you mean by the Remake trilogy would take place within Disc 1 of the OG? The Remake project ends with Part 3, but you think Part 3 will end at Aerith’s death? Or have you misspoke or something?

Sure that’s also possible, I just doubt that Yuffie or Wutai will be DLC of Rebirth or Part 3, that’s my original point.

Oh I don’t think there will be a full on second Wutai War either. I just don’t think Yuffie and Wutai are going to be DLC only content, which I was replying to (unless @Ite was making a joke/being sarcastic in their comment and I completely missed it).

Also maybe one of the Weapons waking up could part of the final boss sequence. Sorta like the equivalent of the party fighting the Whisper Harbinger but like scaling the crumbling parts of the crater and the body of the Weapon as it emerges from the earth.

Besides all the additional mentions of Wutai and it’s past conflict with Shinra in the Remake so far here are some stuff from the devs discussing Wutai in the Renake:

Pretty sure the devs have stated before that Wutai’s role in the plot is going to be significantly expanded in the Remake project. I don’t think being relegated to DLC matches up with that. And why would Yuffie be DLC when they’ve already put in the work of building her character for Intergrade?

I know I included that quote. I don’t think it is a case of stuff being implanted, the devs literally describe it as visions passing through time and space, that sounds more like a active connection than implanted knowledge.

That’s with the presumption Cloud is consciously remembering Zack though, it still is very possible (and personally I think the more likely scenario) Cloud remembering Zack (and that trailer dialogue/line) is still only subconscious stuff.
