Definitely needs some further investigation to find out the exact circumstances. In my Hard Mode playthrough, I didn't lean towards Aerith or Tifa, so got Barret's resolution, and he turned up first in the Sephiroth fight despite being obviously sidelined for the Harbinger battle.

Apparently it's based on the affection mechanics that will determine who your immediate back-up in that fight is. So it's just a simple case of loading them up properly before going into the Harbinger fight once you know who you've been leaning towards during your playthrough.

Yeah, I accepted the fact ages ago that Part II would be built with the PS4 in mind. We're going to get lots of zones, but at least the PS5 will load them very quickly.

Yeah, just like with Remake, I'm not doing that with a largely story-focused game. Massively enjoyed the game more because I actively avoided the leaks and got some genuine surprises, and the same goes for TLOU.

That name is familiar. I remember he was on here begging for leaks, knowledge and the tools to try and break the demo, and other things. If the source of the leaks is him, then I personally don't believe it.

Or you might get another 90% faithful + greatness and just some extra. Who knows. Why work yourself up about what we just don't know yet?

Beat me to it. I was just typing this out... I feel like a lot of people are looking at it from the wrong perspective. The events in the original game happened as is. It is only now that the Whispers are intervening to keep the original course of fate intact against Sephiroth's manipulations...

Definitely tedious, but that could make a nice little side project. If a group got together, we could probably grab a lot of NPC dialogue between us ahead of any data extraction process down the road.

*pouts* Some of us enjoy post-20 minute epic battles which we win with a sliver of health and shaking hands that will remain with us for the rest of our lives at just the mere thought of the memory. :awesome:

Lol. Like I mentioned briefly in my post, I'm a VERY conservative player. I love to horde MP. If I take a sliver of damage, I heal up with Pray, or if pressured, I resort to Cure + Magnify. I use Aerith's Soul Drain ability at every available opportunity. I block. A lot. And with several...

And done in ... 42 minutes and 35 seconds! :P The two biggest stumbling blocks for me were the opening Shiva fight and of course Bahamut. Shiva just seemed to be hitting extremely hard with Blizzagas, Whiteouts and Heavenly Strikes, with my group not properly guarding or dodging at the right...
