I am glad that the Remake greatly reduced the rivalry between the two girls. It shows that friendship is much more important than jealousy over a guy. Wouldn't really fit into our times, anyway. And I don't think that a character's (a woman's at that) importance hinges on whether the (male)...

Since the beginning, Zack has been the first person Aerith fell in love with and all the symbols Aerith carries around herself (be it things, words, colours, emotions) have their roots in Zack. We didn't yet know this playing...

I don't know if anybody has pointed this out already, but when in Chapter 3 Cloud tries to enter Tifa's room, he says "Don't be weird" in English. But in the Japanese audio his line begins with "今は/Ima wa", so he says something along the line of "Right now is not the time to enter her room."...

I stil don't see any romantic chemistry between Cloud and Aerith in the whole game, unlike the OG. Eerie has pointed this out wonderfully. But I think I'm out of here. I can't argue with a passionate shipper.

That killed me! What I ask myself is: do they really need to be there? There hasn't been a need for them until now, that's why they seem so out of place for me. Has there ever been any hint that entities like that could possibly exist in the world of FFVII or do I just have to come to terms...

I don't think anyone can convince someone who is so passionate about their favourite ship. I get it. I'd react similarly. I'm glad I'm not onboard a long sunken ship (Clerith) in this case, but that has occurred to me in other fandoms, so I know the feeling. Reasoning doesn't work where emotions...

You can still criticise it, though. Or isn't that allowed, because ultimately the producers decide what is right and good and all criticism is invalid? I don't criticise changes or expansions in general. Of course they'd expand and change things. Everybody knew that. But one can still not like...
