    Resident Evil 2 & 3 Remakes!!!

I haven't got round to playing it yet (but definitely will). Does the Tyrant dude actually work? I don't normally like stuff like that (being forced to play with a count-down timer)

    Final Fantasy VIII General Discussion

Yes I think triple triad is the best mini-game in any Final Fantasy. Chocobo Hot'n'Cold would be a close second.

    Final Fantasy VIII General Discussion

I absolutely loved FF8 when it came out. I remember faking being ill so I could skip school and play it. I'm afraid it's aged a lot worse than most other games in the series for me though. It's not something I ever think about unless I'm playing it. Whereas I think about FF7 and FF9 all the...

    Resident Evil 2 & 3 Remakes!!!

Resident Evil's always sold much better in the west than in Japan as well.

Final Fantasy XV (was Versus XIII)

I'm talking about the part set in the last third of the main story when the empire falls apart. I wasn't suggesting they include any new gameplay stuff. I meant just include maybe a few short cutscenes set around Tenebrae or Gralea.

Final Fantasy XV (was Versus XIII)

Do we have any indication of when they abandoned the other 3 DLC though? If it was early on, then they might have worked on Ardyn for quite some time. If it was much later on, they frankly should put together the content they've made and put it into some kind of free update, even if it's a bit...

    Resident Evil 2 & 3 Remakes!!!

I thought you were always supposed to start with Leon anyway? He was definitely "disc 1" on the PS1, I'm pretty sure.

What premise would you love to see in a future Final Fantasy title?

18 in Roman numerals looks too clumsy to be in a game title. Maybe they should switch to regular indian/arabic numerals after FF16

Hopes for Remake & Rebirth (story/content)

Yes that's exactly what I was gonna say. Harder to do that in the main game. Although we still don't know how faithful they're intending to be to the original. They might just ditch the moogle doll.

Final Fantasy XV (was Versus XIII)

The other thing I'm curious about is: has Episode Ardyn been in development for a whole year? They did announce these DLC in April. If so, it could be twice as long as any of the previous DLC. Prompto was the longest and was only in development for like 3-4 months. This could be quite...

Cait Sith is gonna look really dumb with a realistic art style.

Yes, this comment was specifically regarding the airship. Given that the highwind gets rocket boosters during the original game, you'd assume it could go fairly fast. That's what would be a problem. Being able to go between Midgar and Junon in like 10 seconds would probably be impossible for an...

Star Wars: Episode 7, 8... and BEYOND!

The social media era is a completely different kettle of fish. People get mobs of psychos abusing them on social media for pretty much any reason. It's far more believable in 2019. That was a lot harder to do in the early 2000s though. It's especially different when you don't know what the...

Star Wars: Episode 7, 8... and BEYOND!

It's kinda hard to feel sorry for the guy when he had such a silly attitude toward criticism. He openly admits that he took criticisms of Jar Jar's character as personal attacks on himself. Why? That's not something you're supposed to do as an actor. If you're gonna be that thin-skinned, you...

Hopes for Remake & Rebirth (story/content)

Red Dead still has the slow movement speed though. That's a major factor. The only way they can have massive and distinct towns/cities in open-world games like RDR2 is if they know ahead of time when you're heading to a particular place, so they can start loading the relevant assets in time...

Final Fantasy XV (was Versus XIII)

The healing item thing is the main issue. It's very hard to get gameover if you have enough healing items. There's also the fact that content-wise, the game is very front heavy. So it's incredibly easy to get overleveled for the main story stuff.

Hopes for Remake & Rebirth (story/content)

Xenoblade X is all to-scale and completely seamless. You can exit a small building in the main city, get directly into your mech, and fly for 20 minutes to the other side of the planet and go into a building there, all with no loading screens. It's easily one of the most impressive open-world...

Hopes for Remake & Rebirth (story/content)

I don't know if anyone posted this previously? Apparently it's taking longer than they planned because incorporating action-based combat seamlessly into the complex environments is tough: https://wccftech.com/final-fantasy-vii-remake-dev-challenges/amp/ Given how many people would've preferred...

Final Fantasy XV (was Versus XIII)

Yeah but those goodies have mostly been crap. Besides, the main thing this game really doesn't need is more weapons/items/skills. It's already too easy. If they wanted to do a good unlockable, hows about: completing the DLC unlocks the day-time Insomnia explorable in the main game, with various...

Hopes for Remake & Rebirth (story/content)

Xenoblade Chronicles X did a pretty good job of it. I'm guessing they probably couldn't do a complete open-world with this approach though because there's just too many different towns that require specific assets loaded. Xenoblade X and FFXV manage it because they only have a few big towns...
