Do You Think They Will Explain This?

I just want to say that maybe we feel more the potential lack of Tifa's script because it's Cloud who remembers the event at that moment. As you point out, this memory comes up later in the original game (and in a different context), so it's a specific desire of the writers to place it here...

Do You Think They Will Explain This?

In the video clip shared by Odysseus some posts above we see Cloud remembering the scene that was told to us in the original game. Since it is a memory I think it belongs to the original timeline (if there are several timelines, there are elements in this sense). After that we can also imagine...

Do You Think They Will Explain This?

The sense of discrepancy in Tifa's reaction felt by some may indeed be heightened by the fact that it is Cloud who remembers Tifa's rage at the murder of her father. This would be another clumsy move on the part of the writers on top of Tifa's potentially uninspired acting.

Do You Think They Will Explain This?

Imagining the love the creators certainly have for their work and counting on the perfect knowledge they must have of the plot and characters they have created, if to some Tifa's reaction seems to be so out of sync with what they logically expect from her, can we imagine that it is not a mistake...

Do You Think They Will Explain This?

Tifa is the kind of girl who will instantly give amnesty to her father's killer if he turns out to have the same political views as her.

Do You Think They Will Explain This?

Is it not a surprise that Marle named her business a name that characterizes so much the place where young Tifa asked young Cloud to make a promise ? This detail is revealed at approximately the same time/place as Tifa points back to the promise in OG.

Do You Think They Will Explain This?

It may be interesting to note that Tifa is not responsible for pointing out the promise directly in the Remake. It seems to be different elements (natural?) of the environment that together lead Cloud to remember it.

    How Jenova Destroyed the Cetra

This text is Tseng's interpretation of what he understood of what Hojo has interpreted from what Ifalna told in the Icicle Inn videos. We do not know on what basis Ifalna interpreted. We do know that Evan tells the story and that he informs us at the beginning of the book that he was not present...

SPOILERS LTD Remake — It's like New Coke except ... no, it's exactly like New Coke

I can't really see these lights as stars since their placement is too much structured (circle). Stars are generally scattered randomly in the sky. So to me this dosen't appear strong enough, but maybe! What I can read about Tifa with all her references to the cosmos that seem to align with the...

SPOILERS LTD Remake — It's like New Coke except ... no, it's exactly like New Coke

Thank you ! that's an interesting possibility. As there is six stars aligned in circle that kind of match the six-petal flower structure (symbol of reunion) that Cloud gives to Tifa, maybe there is a link here. But I can't read where the story is going based on that.

SPOILERS LTD Remake — It's like New Coke except ... no, it's exactly like New Coke

Can someone kindly point me to the moment this shot comes from? I can't seam to retrieve it... @ Dr Frasier Crane Can you tell me what the image means to you ?

SPOILERS LTD Remake — It's like New Coke except ... no, it's exactly like New Coke

The upper outfit and the poneytail are striking me now that you mention it ! You say that Cloud's shoes in this scene are the same colour as his eyes. I would like to see it but I can't. Aren't the boots black? Please, what do you mean ? I see that young Cloud holds his hair with a blue tie...

    FF Newbie Starting FF7 original

I have to say that, like many people here, I really enjoy following your progress through the game. Thank you for sharing it. I don't know, every being that dies is reunited with the Lifestream as well. Do the events that the entity named Jenova goes through correspond to a birth, a life and a...

    FF Newbie Starting FF7 original

Jenova Birth, Jenova Life, Jenova Death,.. This is similar to the stages of a Cetra's life cycle, except it may be missing the return to the Lifestream. Unless ... Jenova Synthesis?

In any case, we can be sure that Tifa's memories have not been altered. She says it for proof.

    FF Newbie Starting FF7 original

Clip 1 Clip 2 After seeing this don't you think the guy could have been Cloud ? Is the fact that the game features two fall scenes occurring in the same location a coincidence? If it is voluntary then what could be the meaning? Edit : Wouldn't that lead to think that this memory evoked in...

Why is mako coming out of the reactors?

Is this from CC ? Different entities/organizations have tried to remove humanity from the surface of the planet during the timeline. The calamity from the sky first, AVALANCHE and Zirconiade, the researcher who apparently freed monsters around Midgar, Sephiroth and Holy (the whole adventure is...

Why is mako coming out of the reactors?

Well spotted ! Isn't it interesting to see these two ideas/concepts of 'monster' gathered at the very crisis core ? I guess I still have to work on my interpretation, but maybe that means a particular concept of 'monster' is the fruit of both wills (Jenova and the Planet). Does this kind of...

Why is mako coming out of the reactors?

Thank you very much @ObsidianFire for all these elements and comments ! A monster is also the name by which Ifalna qualifies the beings who were contaminated by Jenova 2000 years ago and who became crazy consecutively. It doesn't appear in the definition of monster that you provide but I guess...
