I guess I was going by the strictly chemical definition of catalyst. :P EDIT: Hmmm, the chemisty definition you gave states that it could cause the reaction, which contradicts what I'd learnt.

I thought catalysts only affect the rate at which reactions occur. It doesn't actually make something happen, it only hastens or slows down the process.

Maybe the artist used a reference image for a hand draped limply on the ground, only he/she forgot that it should be for the right hand. Never! I must nitpick on fanart to lamely justify the years I spent memorising and drawing human bones, skeletons and body parts for biology and basic anatomy.

Hasn't that always been the case? They impose the strictest and most exacting standards of proof for the Cloud/Tifa side. At the same time, anything goes for the Cloud/Aerith side, no matter how ridiculous, out of context, or flat out wrong it may be.
