Oh wow. That sounds awesome. Can't wait to see that when the remake comes out. Good to know not everything was leaked.

So to anyone that has actually read all the leaked script, how does it hold up (barring obviously having no visual context whatsoever)?

Count on me surprised. These guys seem like they got a good director in their belt. I'm especially impressed with Cloud, Tifa and Aerith. I think we're in good hands. The problem with Sephiroth is that he has a really plain voice, but his deliveries are great.

Wow, they recast everyone. Cloud sounds....suspiciously close to David Gallagher.

I like how smooth George Newbern sounds in this one. They even made him emote, but he emphasizes words way too strongly. Bryce Papenbrook and Steve Burton were very bad, though. ._.

Thanks for the replies. Gave it a shot. Yeah, I definitely think it gave a stronger impression on me than the console game (not that it's bad, mind you). The Dissidia mechanics work well for a turn based game. I think I'll stick with it.

Fair enough. It is two lines, and I admit what I said earlier was kind of fueled by the fear that he'll be doing those types of reads all the time, like he did in past performances. >_>; I just wish he wasn't directed by someone who makes their actors speak so slow, make them do weird pauses...

Yeah, the voice acting in the English version of the compilations were mostly a mixed bag. Pretty bland performances throughout. They have good voices for the characters with some exceptions like Cid (that accent doesn't suit him at all), but they need a better voice directing team, and maybe...

For writing for Japanese lip sync, it just takes some good script writing....and that usually takes a lot of time. I pretty much expect them to use the Japanese timing for this to save money. I'm pretty sure they could've found a better equivalent to "zuruzuruzuru", if they weren't so pressed...

While I'm fine with the idea that the current cast gets to reprise for the game, they need to hire a better voice director for the game. Even in Kingdom Hearts, he seems to turn in a lot of bland performances from even the most experienced actor. But, personally, I rather they recast everyone...
