I actually could see Rufus having a bigger hand in Avalanche HQ than we realize. We see Avalanche HQ using Shinra helicopters and with emphasis that they have mil spec gear. They seem to move without as much restrictions as Barret's group, therefore must have better Shinra clearance, which we see is fairly tight. More than that, Tseng gets called by Rufus before the Shinra attack happens. He expects his Father to die or nearly die before it happens. He still seems aware of Avalanche's movement. And that twist would really hit Barret hard. But this is speculation.

Obsidian Fire, where/when does Fuhito fall into the Lifestream?

And thank you for doing such a thorough post. We do have a missing Avalanche founder. A split must have happened just after Avalanche formed. Elfe's branch broke away immediately.

Interesting question. BTW Elfe was raised by Avalanche & Fuhito and then she becomes leader. Leaders of BC Avalanche are Fuhito & Elfe, Shears more of a field commander. Founder of Avalanche BC: see below.

Long story short from a Japanese person contribute: Fuhito is part of Avalanche "leaders/high ranks", but he is not the founder of Avalanche. Fuhito is a disciple of the planetologists who formed Avalanche.

It seemed clear that they were different but what is interesting is that they still have some of BC AVALANCHE's gear and weaponry.

I guess they had some left over equipment they decided to help themselves with :monster:

They do humble work around Midgar - like night raids in full mil-spec gear on topside Shinra depots containing massive war mecha. Doesn't get much more humble than that.

I can, however, believe that Nayo's cell specifically does humble work. I bet they weren't even in the loop for the attack on the Shinra building.

Hey does anyone know where I can download before crisis? Not the rpgmaker remake, but I seen a while back on an emulation board that somebody had downloaded the actual game, translated, I believe it was an apk

I wonder how I saw it then, I'm telling you, It was a playable English version of original game, I was so excited but didn't download it, idk maybe it was a lie, but I saw it.. Ehh guess ill give up though because if you guys here don't have it I'm sure it doesn't exist

There's another thread on here where someone has been trying for a long time to get BC off old Japanese mobiles with no luck so far, its definitely not playable. There's a decent set of videos on YouTube of someone playing through it with translation though.

i imagine someone must have tried this, but i saw something about playing old pre-smartphone mobile games and it was downloaded off a chinese website or forum. has there been much searching on the chinese web for the game files?

wikipedia tells me the chinese title is 危机之前 -最终幻想VII- but i don't know what other terms might help to search with (especially in chinese). 下載 is the chinese for 'download' but i'd be apprehensive about not knowing what is being downloaded lol

Hmmm. Could it be this? I made this with Unity 2D for my SH-02L. This is an android flip phone made by docomo. Because Japan is interesting ?. The game is not that hard to re-create. Hahaha I took everything I have from screenshots, videos, having the demo myself, FAQ, and even Japanese guides like the ones we use to do back in the day.

Using a sprite editor, I can get a good amount of sprites and transfer it to Unity 2D. By doing this, an android flip phone, we can replicate a lot of it.

If I had the patience and was mad enough to do it I could do the following
1. chapters 1-24 playable w/Rod and Shotgun
(Script is easy to replicate as we have it and it’s not different for all Turks)
2. Materia generation: can generate materia.
3. Free Mode could be a possibly but it won’t be as accurate to its original. I think I have scripts and maps of free mode for each chapters

I can make most of it playable. What’s holding me back is the amount of work I would have to put in.

and no this does not mean I won’t dump it, for now I’m stuck on that. But if I could, I would drop it here on this website in a heartbeat ?

Oh? I would like to make this a reality. Just didn’t think anyone would care ? If anyone can help with the sprites? Mainly to get it to its original form. It’s possible just, tedious. I can try finishing up a demo of it, and then release to public. I know how many sprites and have an idea of what to use. But again it’s just tedious. You are free to DM me if you are interested in helping out. Seeing as how SE doesn’t want this game to come back anytime soon.
