Imo, darkness and light should be really flexible elements without adding things like gravity.
I actually really liked your post, Tennyo.
I love Emma ;.; It's nice to have someone who isn't a total monster.
Guys, someone just needs to turn Destrillians into a massive porn movie.
BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HAS HAPPENED.
And omg Channy, why you show shit pics, I could draw your stick figure comic as a decent one not on msn! >;
But yeah, unfortunately I have future deciding exams this week, so probably no post til Friday or Saturday.
Now to hardcore revise. ;.;
Attention. Your physics does not computeDarkness could be the absense of matter in terms of something like a black hole
You don't have an objections to any of the tweaks I've done to Emma's bio, have you? I basically gave her powers over life in general, not just nature, but any organism more complicated than a tree is too much for her. She couldn't even manage a tiny mouse without heaps and heaps of Distrum injected into her system.
I makes sense in my mind, at least. The potential is there but she just doesn't have the power.
Looks good. But I can't approve since I'll get my vagina cut off.
Do what you will with that statement.
EDIT: Plus I'm not understanding the use of gravity in darkness. Gravity isn't darkness, that's like saying darkness gives the power to manipulate matter. I understand darkness to exist as a kind of 'nothing-ness', therefore an abscence of matter, and things that dont have any matter cannot have a gravitational field. Yes, it can disintegrate things and destroy the essence of matter, but gravity just doesn't seem to figure in the physics of it all. Besides, isn't gravity a whole other element, therefore being a totally different kettle of fish?
Therefore confusion.
Also, after much deliberation I've come to the conclusion that Dan shouldn't use Gravity. Gravity is simply the manipulation of matter, whereas Darkness and Light are more or less the absence of matter. To say that Ronin can manipulate matter with gravity would also be pretty much giving Sierra the same powers as well, considering they are near the same... just one is black and one is white.
Also, manipulating Gravity and manipulating Darkness are two very different ideas. It gives Ronin way too much power over two different things.
*Slides forward profile with a big X marked on it.*
I cannot approve.
I think creating a blackhole in Dessies would explode Ronin's mind.
Plus to create that HUGE MASS it would require Derinium and probably cause your brain to turn to goo. :3

It all ties in with her being able to sense life energy.
HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THE EPIC PICTURE BEX DREW?
It's the scene where Sierra is straddling Erthys ready to slit his throat, when Terra randomly pops in and ruins the moment.
Also see this just because it's fucking epic and it can't be posted enough :3
What is Darkness really? Can you assign a definitive description to its existence that would really exclude such an extension as gravity? I don't see gravity as an element unto itself, it's really more of a 'force without form' so to speak, an intangible, unseen force, which is included in my interpretation of the Darkness power. It's difficult to apply the laws of physics to an "element" (darkness) for which there are no applicable established laws.
You had no problem with it before, you've only changed your mind because a certain person(s) have influenced your opinion.
Also, I would agree that light radiation can be used to manipulate matter, think of lasers. Sierra wouldn't be able to manipulate in the same way as Ronin could with gravity, but there's certainly a flexibility for the light element in that respect which can and imo should be exploited. Everyone thinks of light as simply bright, white and visible, but light encompasses a MUCH broader spectrum of radiation, i.e. infrared, radiowaves, even gamma radiation. Just as I have icluded gravity as part of my repertoire, I believe you can use the full array of light radiation for Sierra's abilities.
Exactly. I didn't intend for it to be a power Ronin can use so freely as his other abilities. In fact if you read my additions, such an ability is really only a theory at this point. I had actually planned for it to happen, eventually, after Ronin had already reached Derinium, and much later in the RP as well. Not to mention Ronin would be incapacitated for quite a while and even Distrum would be ineffective at reviving him completely. Besides, it's not even an ability Ronin even knows of.
^ read above. His brain wouldn't quite turn to goo but he'd be severely debilitated form a while.
You're fine Tenny, they're only getting on my case about it because they like to break my balls.
Anywho, I think I'll need to see a bit more opposition to the gravity inclusion than simply the same two people who always oppose me. I'll remove it if I see one more member with an honest (and uninfluenced) objection. However, I have an idea for a new ability that makes a bit more sense than gravity, that will replace gravity...but you don't want me to include it as it really will make Ronin ridiculously powerful, at least as far as the laws of physics are concerned.
I did see it...I see that's supposed to be the glass shard in her hand...but the tip is too rounded so it looks more as if she broke his penis off.
Gravity and Darkness just seem like two entire different elements.. if you want Gravity then free up Darkness, or stick with Darkness. One doesn't exactly exist with the other. One encompasses shit, the other takes it away. And it seems like you're trying to take up two different elements.
Actually if he tried to create a blackhole his mind would probly be goo... Same if Sierra tried to create a sun or sum shit.
Not really, I'm tentative about her controlling life because Godmodding life control could be taken too far like with controlling the life of the guards, scientists, Doctors, even so far as to control the other Dessies. Life is a very very fickle subject and I'm really teetering on it.
My problem with it is there's other possibilities brewing and we need to keep it on hold for now...
If you read my post you'd see she was holding a glass shard to his neck and not his penis.
*breaks off penis and threatens life with it* Hrm...
Like I said, I don't really consider gravity to be an individual element, and if I were to discard Darkness and keep gravity alone, I would have to rewrite my previous posts considerably to replace darkness with gravity.
I'm not saying Ronin could create a supermassive black hole like the type that swallow entire galaxies, but something similar on a MUCH smaller scale, with only enough power to consume a limited part of its surroundings before it inevitably grows weaker and dies out.
Creating a star isn't exactly the opposite equivalent of creating a black hole tbh.
But you're giving her the benefit of the doubt and allowing it anyway, unlike in my case where you're purely against it...even though you weren't against it before, but suddenly changed your mind.
What possibilities? Put it on hold for who? I honestly don't foresee any new RPers getting involved in Dessies...since pretty much every single RPer active here is already involved. Even so though, I don't exactly plan on using the gravity ability any time soon, so it can still be on hold for a bit while still being a part of my character. I'll give it up willingly if someone new comes along and needs an element.
If it's such a problem, I can replace gravity with dark matter (anti matter)...but in terms of physics, a single atom of dark matter coming into contact with a single atom of normal matter, would level the entire Violan facility and kill everyone in it, because of the interaction (negation) and subsequent massive energy discharge that results.
Well it certainly looks more like a penis than a glass shard...and she's not really holding it against his neck...and she doesn't appear threatening at all...
Don't make this into something more sinister than it needs to be
