Sad to see season 5 end. Archer Vice was an interesting idea. Having said that, I am rather happy that season 6 is going back to espionage setting. I am wondering if Pam will revert back to her old self.

On a side note, Archer is one of only two show I am willing to pay full price to own. It is also the only animated show I can think of where I would like to bang all of the female characters, and all of their voice-actresses.

Archer Vice was a fantastic experiment and I'm glad they did it. I'm not sure how much longer they could've sustained it though, so it's probably for the best that they're going back to the old format (more or less) for season six. I think it would be interesting if each season had its own arc though.

Also, I love that on Reddit's AMA with Lucky Yates, he REALLY liked the idea of Krieger making a cyber Brett, and I hope that it happens somehow.

I would argue that they did, expect for the first season. Season 2 we had Archer's cancer. Season 3 had Archer and Pam in a relationship (which is odd as he didn't touch her after she got all cocaine hot). Season 4 had Lana consider her situation and decide that single motherhood would fix that... some how. Season 5 was a little more overt, but it is still there in the earlier seasons.

Honestly, I don't really care for most of season 1, with the exception of the Conway Stern episode. (which, btw, he really needs to come back - he was great)

I'd rank the seasons roughly 2 = 3 > 5 > 4 = 1, probably. But I'm not entirely sure between 2 and 3 or 4 and 1. I should probably re-watch the whole series too.

I guess there kind of are background arcs for most of the seasons but none of them have been as all-encompassing as the Archer Vice arc.

Was just going to mention that. Seems like he could, we had three character we hadn't seen since season one come back in season 5. Would like to see the old assassin and his young wife come back too.

As I re-watch the seasons Archer, I keep thinking that Krieger needs a spin-off. Interestingly the show has given him two first names. When they show his offical ISIS file, says his legal first name is "Doctor". Later he claims his name is "Algernop".

His mother always says Sterling. And at least half the time Lana, and (oddly) Cyril call him Sterling. His mother has even used his full name a few times, Sterling Malory Archer. Despite having had a romantic relationship with both Pam and Carol/Cheryl always call him Archer, which is odd as you would think fucking would make a relationship be on a first name basis.

However, it seems weird that his code name is almost never used: "Duchess".
