Best FFIX song?

We're finally at the FF that Uematsu considers his best work, and which I agree with him on. While not my it's favorite FF overall, in terms of soundtrack, it is.

Now as for my favorite song from this game, I'd say I like The Darkness of Eternity a little better than Not Alone. You gotta love dat guitar riff.

I usually just use songs that I like a lot and/or were popular enough to make it into other games(such as Theatrhythm or Dissidia/Dissidia 012).

You could've gone with The Darkness of Eternity, since that's a version of his theme that plays when you fight Trance Kuja.

I... didn't realise that was another name for it. I've never, ever heard of it being called that. A more accurate translation is "Messenger of Destruction".

"Inseparable Hearts" and "Behind the Door" are my two favorite tracks. I tear up every time I hear them.

Such a hard one to choose from because while Final Fantasy IX didn't have as memorable of a soundtrack as the other games, there are still so many tracks that I love and choosing a favorite between the songs that I love is almost like choosing a favorite child. I narrowed it down between Rose of May and Not Alone, because those were the themes that really captured my attention when I first played the game (along with "Search for the Princess"). But I'm going to have to go with Not Alone strictly for that guitar. God it was perfect.

Well Terra is an arrangement of A Place to Call Home(the opening theme, for those who don't know the songs by name. It's also known as The Place I'll Return to Someday).

Anyway, I like The Darkness of Eternity and Not Alone the best, but I like the former a smidgeon better. Both have epic guitar riffs though.
