Yes, you need to watch more Abrdiged, Mako!

And we all know where Tidus and Jecht's story takes place, right after X. I'm certain, and the way Tidus' ended, in time for X-2's ending.

Yeah, that definitely makes sense.

Most of the references and stuff regarding X seem to come from during the end of the game or afterwards. Plus, why would Jecht want to bring Tidus and himself back to Spira if he were still Sin? That'd be kinda bizarre.

I also love how all of the villains reference "Sins" and "spirals of karma" and shit whenever they face Tidus or Jecht. ExDeath's line to Jecht, where he says "Sins are eternal" definitely seems to be a subtle stab at Jecht's unfortunate fate of having been Sin before.

Yah, the lines mentioned without cutscenes point out that Tidus' and Jecht's story here takes place when Sin was defeated in X, with Jecht having fell to Chaos' side of Big Bads due to being Sin.

Though how Terra became a Big Bad before our gameplay puzzles me. Even though its a slave crown arc reference, could this mean they've fought 9000 times or at least 100 times before?

Did you complete FFVI? Kefka's entire mind set and EX Appearance is based off of how he was at the final battle. Most of what he says and does is all based on how he was during the final battle.

The "Light of Destruction" was his own special way of smiting the planet when he became the God of Magic in FFVI.
No, nt rly. :monster: I'm right before his battle but I'm going around gathering magicite before I beat him.

So would this be set somewhere in the middle of FFVI then?

It's more like around the end, because again, most of the references and dialogue between Terra and Kefka are direct send offs and stabs towards what they said before in the final confrontation. It'd make no sense for them to completely reference their final altercation if they never even technically had it yet.

Not Sure - guess the movie.
Cloud: If we defeat Chaos, maybe the worlds will go back to normal, things will return to how they were, and we can go home as if this all never happened...

Tidus: Really? You think that'll happen?!

Cloud: ...I lied. I don't know.

Tidus: WHAT?!

Squall: But he has a point. Maybe that could happen. I want to believe that.

I thought Cloud said this through the translated version:

~...Not at all. If we save this world... If we can do that... Then all the other worlds in the other dimensions will be saved, too. Then... we'll be able to go home.~

And this in the actual English version:
~[Cloud talking]
If we all can restore balance here, the other worlds will come back too. We'll all go home, just how it was. Maybe even better.
[to Tidus' part]....I made that up.~

Why Could stupid Cloud lie to Tidus and Firion? What a idiot! Someone should shoot him, slice him up! Or do something bad for lying to them! :arr::bmonster:

Guess you missed the point.

Cloud was saying what he believed and had faith in. Not what he knew as fact. He made it up because it was hope and he wanted to not give up.

And what I was saying - just asking - if Cloud said the lines I posted. I never said anything else. I never said he stated it as a "fact" or anything else. I was asking a script question.

So no, I didn't miss the point.

...then again, if they had a final confrontation, why does Terra still have magic?
In the Dissidia world, they can all access magic. So, maybe that's how she can use it...?

That's weird, because the ending of X seems to imply that Tidus has buried his ill feelings toward his dad.

You mean Square Enix would rather go with an old, outdated personality type instead of opting for character growth?

Say it ain't so, babe! Say it ain't so!

Yeah, most of them, but he still thinks his dad is a jerkass, especially with him siding with the enemy, which he believes. Why wouldn't he be pissed at that?

Ah, right.

Tidus will appreciate his fathers attitude when he grows up, especially considering they're a lot alike as it is.

Best line between them is when they're fighting and Jecht goes...

Jecht: Cocky little runt! Who do you take after?!

Tidus: Why don't you ask yourself!

That made me lol
