My god. 106...I don't think I'd want to live that long. 80, I can cope with the age of dying. But I'm surprised one of the 1940's people who did Disney was still alive up until now. I honestly didn't think anyone from the time of Bambi's movie release would still be alive in the 21st Century.
I do recall that producer and voice actor Wayne Allwine who voiced Mickey Mouse since "Mickey's Christmas Carol" in the late 80's died of cancer back in 2009 and the poor guy was only in his 60's too when that happened. I still miss him.
I wonder what his secret was to a long life. The fact he was Asian American and inspired one of the most iconic works of Disney is really something to be proud of. I mean back then you realize how hard things were for minorities to be recognized for their work.
There's a double dose of sad news for all you baseball fans.
Kansas City Royals pitcher and 2015 World Series champion Yordano Ventura at age 25.
Former major leaguer Andy Marte, who last played in the majors for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2014, at age 33.
Both died on the same day, in the same country (the Dominican Republic), and in separate car accidents.

As someone who has been on the roads in the DR many, many times, this does not shock me. It's horrible, don't get me wrong, but maybe these higher profile deaths will actually have an influence on their traffic woes? Maybe?
Probably not.
