ActUally it's just 4, I made a typo before, but there is Jr. High as well, usually 7th and 8th grade, though mine went through 9th grade. So I had 3 of Jr and 3 of proper High school.

And we have middle school, then junior high, which is neither quite elementary or high school for about two years, then four of high school.

Six years of high school here, although the final two years are optional.

You can leave after the end of fourth year, as long as you're sixteen. The final two years are when you sit your higher exams, so you're not obliged to stay. Recently, the government has introduced an incentive tho': EMA.
