Of cold medicine (2) and a glass of rum (1). It's just made me dizzy and given me a headache

Cthulhu: Yeah, I guess it is 'sad' in a sense; but then again, it depends on who you consider company, and good company at that. I feel comfy here, for good or bad; I've always found the people I've come across on ACF to be decent and well-rounded, if only 'known' via wires and 'a series of tubes.'

The countdown for me is: 20 minutes. It's 11:40 PM here.

It's not that sad...I mean, not everyone is into partying and going out during New Year's Eve. I enjoy a comfortable evening at home and watching fireworks from the balcony.

True that, neither do I.

New year's passed quite quietly around here, at least compared to previous years. Wasn't as busy or anything on the streets.

Last year was awesome though, there was the moast thick fog I've ever seen in my life like ever, so everyone was firing fireworks, but because you could only see for like 15 feet (if that), it was kinda pointless .

Things were quiet here. We just all drank one shot of white grape juice and then my boyfriend took me home. Drinking and partying is over rated. I've tried it a few times and *shrugs*. I'd just wander around until someone turned on their Wii and then beat drunk people at Brawl.

I grew up with a drunk dad, then a drunk brother. So I don't like to drink to excess, saves embarassing myself

It was most certainly an accident, I'd forgot I had taken medicine before.

But I'm still here, so I cheated death today. Good start to the new year

Yeah, I guess so, in that case. And, I wasn't meaning to imply you were doing so on purpose. I just thought to speak up. *hugs* Also, I have to take medication every evening that specifically states not to drink alcohol with it; sadly, sometimes I want to drink (I'm a rare drinker), the meds be damned!

Over nine thousand years ago french cave men drew atleast 100 different depictions of the world ending on croisants in the middle of the atlantic ocean.
Obviously this is true because it was written thousands of years ago.

All that happens is that the Mayan Calender ends. The Mayans themselves never mentioned anything about the end of world. The astronomical event that DOES happen is very unlikely to cause any of the global-disasters one can read about if you search "2012" on the internetz. I'll leave it to someone else to describe what the astronomical event is.
