Dogs can totally hug. My mother's border collie was excellent at it, knew just how to stand to wrap her forelegs around your waist and squeeze.

Maybe not arms then....but hands are helpful! Also, some dogs get a bit carried away with the whole greeting thing and before you know it you've got a full on leg hump on your hands

Oh I know, I just thought the little guy had balls eating a Man o' War when he's only 3cm long (Although it turns out that Man o' War's.....Men o' War? Anyway they're not a single organism rather a colony of small organisims, so maybe the sea slug isn't as badass as I thought!)
