Okay, here's why it fails:

* It fails for being a 'Gametrailers Presents' thingy, meaning it's gone 'public', i.e. beyond a fan thingy.
* It fails for listing credits, i.e. having staff, especially 'promoting' people.
* It fails for referencing DMC.
* It fails for using DMC music.
* It fails for (apparently) not continuing where part 2 left off.
* It fails for Tifa's face looking like something else's.
* It fails for Tifa walking like she's got a stick up her arse and/or Oum trying to model it like a model, but failing miserably and making it look like she's walking like she's got a stick up her arse.
* It fails for a failed Seph appearance look-alike.
* It fails for shit dots of shit appearing in Tifa, probably supposed to represent materia, but failing.
* It fails for looking like a recording from some fighting game instead of whatever it looked like in parts 1 and 2.
* It fails for seeming to be choppy, i.e. the part where what's-her-face 'omg bleedz' on the floor.
* It fails for Matrix reference, and a failing one at that for a lack in a beckon.
* It fails for a lack of breaking bones. Steven Seagal breaks bones.
* It fails for using AC references, and failing
* It fails for failing walking animation. Doesn't for ass.
* It fails for lack of awesome.

So, he spent years working on this one, but it failed in numerous ways. He should've continued in the same style as part 1 and 2, r'lyeh.

Yeah, I'm used to him doing better than this. This wasn't hardly as Earth shattering or impressive like his others. I'm not really that impressed. I won't say it "failed" like Yop did, but...I'm certainly not impressed or anything like I was before.

...And I'm sorry, but why the fuck would you put materia in your legs and thighs? They made Tifa into a fucking remnant of Sephiroth now. Ending is definitely a big "wtf"

It does continue from where II left off. Rinoa sent them all to different places and the church is where Tifa and Hitomi ended up. That's what I thought anyway.

Totally agree on the second one though. Yuna actually looks like Yuna. The only reason I know Tifa is Tifa is because of her attire.

I'm a little "WTF" about the ending and although I enjoyed it, I'm kind of let down. A whole lotta waiting and not much developed. We saw all this at the fanime preview, so... I was hoping for more. more polish? Maybe. But more.

As for the DoA references, the only reason I could imagine anyone referring to DoA would be tits.

And yeah I'm not quite sure why he thinks materia works in people like it does with the SHM, and even if it did, they certainly wouldn't pop out.

But the preview of Tifa fighting off all the ninja's was pretty cool, so I'll still keep some hopes up but Dacon's right as it turning into a fanfic the more plot he tries to inject. Granted, the same could be said for Master Chief and Samus being lesbian lovers

Personally, I'd have put III attached to one of the others. It serves no real purpose on its own... but that's my opinion. I do appreciate depth and plot--absolutely, but this didn't add any. It *hinted* at it... almost like a trailer. Which is fine, except this has been touted as "epic"--and YES! HELL YES!--the overall DF series has been epic so far, I wasn't thrilled with this episode. It was like wading back into the shallow end of the pool after a high-dive.
