Do we have an official term for the process of turning someone into a Destrillian? I know that we often refer to is as "Dessification", but it doesn't sound...right, I guess. Dunno if anyone had thought of anything or not. "Turning", "harrowing", "quickening", something, whatever.

Honestly, if you want a proper term, it needs to make sense with what's actually happening. "Turning" could work because they are turning humans into Destrillians, but I just think of vampires. The others sound nice but they don't make physical sense with what's going on (I know they were just examples; I'm making my point. )
So thinking along that line, the Destrillians were constructed, really. Their bodies were rebuilt, piece by piece--or at least homegrown. You could call it something to do with that.
Conversely, the way in which they're treated - brainwashed, given one chief scientist and a team of others to call a family - can be looked at as being raised or reared.
Those are still all examples; none of them sound right, either. But I'm saying to think about what actually goes on in the process and THEN to give it a name.

imo there wouldn't be a term that completely describes a process that involves several years worth of scientific tampering and experimental procedures. No word could be invented to describe that much
