There is just something so aesthetically pleasing about a blonde and a brunette pair.

This. Very much this. The reason why I like staring at Clerith fanarts more than Zerith, Cloti, or Tserith. And this is probably the reason why I would love these fanarts be colored else they become boring to my eyes.

I may support Cloud and Tifa in the canon sense but the beautiful arts for this pairing cannot be ignored. In fact, I spend more time checking this fanclub than the Cloti one because of the fanarts. No offense Cloti fans.

Personally, I don't read fanfic (be it Cloti or Clerith, I just don't) save for humor and parodies.

EDIT: To make amends to the Cloti fans though, my all time favorite fanart isn't Clerith. It's Cloti. Well, more like a family portrait of the Seventh Heaven family.

This is probably my problem. I only use ff.net. I just get fooled by the few great fics I found on there so I just can't leave. Hopefully this doesn't sound stupid, but how do you find fics on lj? I've never really figured it out.

Well I never meant to suggest that Aerith does things all on her own. I just think she's still a powerful being on her own and still has responsibilities in the Lifestream/Planet. I don't think she's just sitting up there chilling out. Like Zack who was just a regular spirit that had to awaken.... Aerith was always awake. I like how Maiden portrays when she first dies, and how she meets different spirits and realizes her duties despite how she wants to live on earth with Cloud and the others. Even without the words of Maiden (since I don't consider it canon I won't continue to use it but that's a whole different discussion that's really suited for the LTD thread xD) there are things in the Ultimanias that suggest Aerith's being is a strong presence. It's just that I don't think she just sits in the Lifestream and watches the world on HDTV.

I agree that she and other Cetra act like guardians of the Planet and have a great deal of power. But I just don't think she's so bothered by responsibility that she has no time left over for Cloud.

AND I think Maiden's canon, so we disagree on two more things.

Yeah I usually stay away from those because its mostly full of Aerith bashing. At least a good 70-80% of the time I've seen XD

Not all of them but where I look they have them. Then again I look for fics on ff.net which is like the worst place ever, but I'm too lazy to look elsewhere

Really? I've read many, many Cloti fanfics that portray Aerith in a positive light or don't mention her whatsoever. :\ And I'm talking about FF.net. Maybe in the past, there were probably many but these days, I haven't even spotted one.

It's funny because for me, the opposite is true; most clerith fics I've found paint Tifa in this horrid light and so, I've stayed away from them quite often because I feel that she's always made so OOC.

Well, I LIKE Maiden, so I guess we both like it. /loophole/ Yeah, I don't think she's too busy to not see Cloud but I'm not really sure how often she can see him. They suggest he still can see her at the end of AC when we see Aerith's figure in the flowers, but they removed that in ACC. ;-;

I took it that she was just watching him pass. But I still see how it implies he was driving to go see her too, which kinda clashed with the "he's over it" ending of the movie.

Yeah that's what I thought about Zack and Aerith leaving the church too. Like their work there was done. If she's shown watching over Cloud though, then she CAN clearly still make an appearance especially if they show her figure. xD Maybe that's why they removed it in ACC, because Zack and Aerith were meant to return to the Lifestream? (And I meant that in a non Zerith way )

That's how I took it too. I thought that's why they probably removed her from the credits, to counter the impression she'll still be around.

Somewhat related but when TLS was doing the most memorable moments of the Compilation, I did a quick little write-up on why I thought that was one of the most important scenes.

Tifa's a darker brunette, not the same type medium brown that I think looks so nice with blondes uguuu.

I got back and forth with how I type it. But I pretty much always say "Aeris" unless I'm doing a TLS commentary or something.
There are other characters that have different names in different regions. I'm not sure why they had to change it.
