I agree about 9 personally, but most I ever hear about FF on the internet eventually devolves into 6 vs 7.

That being said, if they were to remake 9, I dunno how they'd go about it. Their art style is so veeeerrry different....

It would be a nice change of pace, though. We haven't gotten a single player main numbered FF in the classic medieval setting since FFIX, actually. They've all been variations on the techno-magic setting originally established by FFVI and FFVII, with the exceptions of FFX and FFX-2. It's like it's all SE knows how to use anymore for its offline titles. It would be nice to have something different a for while, especially if that classic setting were to be brought back for say, FFXVI.

Well, that confirms for me that I want such an aesthetic faaaaaaar from FFVI. Amano's style creeps into too many corners of FF as is.
