Oh, that's right... The KH4 Kingdom Hearts' anniversary announcement and... the announcement for FFVII Remake itself. Pretty big deals in retrospect.

When have they ever unveiled a major FF game with just a title and keyart? If it's anything like the KH anniversary stream there probably won't even be people talking, it was just back to back trailers.

Makes sense, though I feel with the length in between Remake installments, there's been a conscious effort to address the fans and essentially say, "Please be patient. You'll get it eventually." So I wouldn't be surprised if if Kojima, Numura, or Kitase say something to the crowd in a very brief bit.
At one point there was mention of smaller installments that could come out quicker. I wouldn't be surprised if part "2" comes out in small chunks, all part of the same game in order to keep us sated. Especially if it's closer to 4-5 years between games.
There's sadly a part of me that just wants a TON of Intermissions.

To anyone curious about this, The Snitch (or @insider_wtf on Twitter) is a new and prominent leaker who in the past two weeks leaked The Last of Us Part 1's release date and Persona's Xbox/Windows announcement.
Here's their tweet on FFVII. Potential spoilers ya'll!
Most people are assuming this is hinting towards a CC remaster with the colors representing platforms.

Like, what else could it possibly be?The funny thing is that I’ll be on a plane to NYC tomorrow morning and in NYC all day without a clear time I’d be able to watch it, so I’ll miss it…I’ll take a look at the hotel at night it seems.
Well, yeah, it was starting to look like it might be. Whats interesting though, is what a CC Remaster/Remake means for FF7R. Namely that it indicates that Zack will have a major role in Remakes story. Possibly larger than many who were expecting him to have a major role already were expecting.
I also think this throws out the whole "Zack will be an alternate universe side story" speculation. He will most likely be a part of the main story proper.

According to Era, he is either a Youtube employee who has access to unpublished videos or someone who has gained access to them. So if thats the case, his leaks are not informed as such.
I have contacts in places like SE, Nintendo, Codemasters, Sony and a few others through work and shit is watertight. The only "goss" I've ever got is utterly benign or confirmation of open rumours/secrets.
These leakers typically aren't informed people, so I wouldn't sit taking all their leaks seriously, even if they are on a roll. They often have a method of gaining access to blocks of info but requires guesswork and often lock out quickly.
I only take it reasonably seriously because verified people have said they believe its probably true.

I think it's more than likely a Crisis Core re-release on PS+.
How would S-E be remaking Crisis Core when they're trying to complete FFVII-R Part 2, at the same time?
Would a title of that scope be contracted out to another developer? That seems a bit much for an outside developer to handle. I'd imagine a game of that size and scope would need to be rebuilt from the ground up. S-E is good but damn, that's not a simple undertaking. That would be cool but also feels extremely unlikely.And it's not part of the Nividia leak lol
I think the "insider" is drawing from the common sense linking/associating that can be made with the new PS Plus service being unveiled and the fact that it'd make synergistic sense to put the past Compilation titles on it to hype up the new game that is obviously drawing elements from those past games.
