Also, what I love in this author's writing is how they picture Cloud: an a-hole, as he's SUPPOSED to be in this part of the game. Also, a dumb smartass. Very enjoyable writing in general. :joy:

And now, I have a confession... of sorts. Today morning, I woke up late, because I was watching ACC for the... 40th time, I think. Before that, I peeked at a FFVII playthrough on YT, to help me with my game a little bit. It was when Sephiroth manages to screw Cloud for good in the Northern Crater.

I think we all know these line, more or less:

Cloud: "It's true that sometimes I can't figure out who I am."
"There's a lot of things muddled up in my memories."
"But, Tifa......."
"But you said, 'Long time no see, Cloud' right?"
"Those words will always support me."

Now, in Japanese, "Long time, no see" is "Sasiburidane", or something like this. And since I was watching ACC with subs, I noticed that this is exactly what Sephiroth says when he firstly appears in flesh.

Maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion, but I found it deliberate for this to be his first line: Sephiroth wants to break Cloud in this movie like nothing else, so what is the best way to break down someone/something? Take away what supports them. So, the words that "will always support [Cloud]" are now Sephiroth's and indicate his return.

Too much? =/
