I've been threatening to sing the same medley that I sing to my kids for years (lmfao jk for like a couple of months now) but I don't like singing shite without an instrumental, so for the past few days, I've been working on that instrumental. I feel like I'm exposing my heart working on this because all I can think about are my children.

The original medley is composed of Emily Haines's Reading in Bed, Stephen Sondheim's Not While I'm Around (as it appears in Burton's 'Sweeney Todd' lmfao sue me i'm a basic bitch) and the traditional French song, A La Claire Fontaine. (as it appears in 'The Painted Veil') Recently, I've taken to tacking on Tolkien's The Road Goes Ever On because it's an excellent song to pat a back to.

My dumbass self was trying to compose everything from ear, but then I found sheet music for two of these songs lmfao. So it's my goal to eventually finish it and sing over it. It's just the WIP for now.

I dedicate this song to my kids, past, present, and future.
