And there's the platinum.

Okay, will be playing FF IX shortly.
If you catch up to me and my mate AGAIN I'll never forgive you :)
We're halfway in disc 3 btw.

CHALLENGE. ACCEPTED.
I'll talk to you after you've played t he jump rope.

Edit:
I've heard nightmare stories about a certain jump rope mini-game. Literally the only thing I know about FF IX besides some character names.

Ahhh, so you know, I honestly think I don't even have that achievement, and I have a programmable keyboard that I used to automate the entire process.

I'll try to do it legit for that FF street cred lmao
Well, I just checked and I DO actually have the jumprope achievement, which means that I should really platinum this game since the rest is nothing in comparison. I've actually done all the other ones, only before "steam" or "achievement" were a thing.

Are you playing on ps4 or steam? Because IF you're playing on steam, I do recommend Moguri mod.

PS4. I'll probably cave and build a gaming PC one of these days

It is on like every Xbox because Microsoft don't suck at backwards compatibility. I bought a 360 cheap just to play Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey (and to get Nier and some other games cheaper). Though Blue Dragon suffers from terrible slowdown on 360.

I second FFV as a good FF to play. Although I don't know how best to play it because the Steam character sprites are terrible.

Yeah I want them to put it on the Windows MS store. Buying an xbox for this one game was always a little much for me, unless I come across one for real cheap at some point I guess. But I'd rather just buy it on windows.

Emulating the GBA version, really. And you can buy the GBA cartridge if you need to assuage any principles :monster:

I would think the Excalibur II achievement is harder...then again I never tried to get it.

But our new friend here seems to have speedrunner potential. Let's believe in him! :desu:
Anyway, there's guides out there.
Though I don't think those'll help him with rage-inducing input-laggy rope jumping... (on the Switch) Oh, well. At least it was doable on the PS1.

Haven't started FFIX on PS4 yet but...I do intend to cheat the fuck out of the jumprope and Excalibur II trophies :shifty:
Excalibur II should be easy because you can use the in-game boosters and the speedup one does not actually make the in-game clock run faster.

For the jumprope I think there is a way to cheat it by using remote play and some script or something, I'mma have to google that again at some point

It's not that hard, you just need to know the game and be willing to spend the time. I have a run going that's actually pretty good. Anytime I did a session of gaming with my mate, I'd speedrun it afterwards, got to disc 2 in about 2 hours I think. (Using speed up at times).
