Good to hear this. Certainly we've learned that those relationship charts don't denote that there can't be more to a relationship (e.g. Cloud and Tifa with "childhood friends"), but it's very good to know that there is precedent that this could apply to Fang and Vanille's specific situation as well.

Out of curiosity, was it on one of those same kind of charts that we see this description for Vaan and Penelo? I'll confess to having seen very little from the Ultimanias for XII. I never bothered to buy them, as I felt that game left little in the way of unanswered questions, and the relevant page related to the only curiosity I did have (St. Ajora) was scanned and posted online a long time ago.

It is from a chart, at the beginning of the Scenario Ultimania for FFXII (家族同然の仲, relationship just like family). Unless I missed the page completely, there is no chart for RW to compare in its Ultimania.
