Yeah, I don't know for certain if Scarlet would go as far as to sleep with people, but she's definitely got it in her to be a manipulative bitch, and I don't see her having any scruples about using her sexuality to get what she wants. Whether that means blackmail or just explioting the weaknesses of the men in the company I can't say.

Huh. I was enjoying your post up to that point My Lvl 39 Cloud did 9770 damage with the Yoshiyuki against an enemy in the Great Glacier the other day. What other weapon can do that much damage so early in the game? Maybe the Powersoul, but that's it. And that needs you to keep Tifa at dangerously low HP and cast Death Sentence on her every battle.

Yoshi's tradeoff is worse than Low HP and Death Sentence, IMO. Powersoul + other people alive means more damage output than just Yoshiyuki on the field.

Also, Reeve himself is pretty young, and is also on the board of directors for ShinRa. Though that brings up that apart from Reeve, there's really no fleshing out of any of them, and what they did to get their positions and reputations.

Measuring it solely in terms of annoyance, it's easy to keep two characters dead, but not so easy to keep someone in a specific HP range, without them dying or being healed too much, and cast an enemy skill on them repeatedly. Sure, a Powersoul fully powered up with the other two characters alive is better than a single Yoshiyuki, but with only one of the two requisite statuses, it's not that great, as its base attack is half that of the sword. On top of that, we're not comparing like for like: Powersoul + two other weapons + enemy skill materia vs Yoshiyuki + no other equipment or materia necessary.

But the point is that while Yoshiyuki is good, it requires killing two people and thus limiting your total damage output significantly, whereas with Powersoul requiring more fiddly upkeep, it DOES let you have two other people alive, which I find a lot more useful.

It's always been part of my headcanon that a Valron was a DNA "donor" for Vincent's Chaos form. Either that, or Chaos is a "personification" of the primordial chaos.

This. Telekinesis. Which, as many will already know, I believe Vincent also had access to (his weird slow mid-air flips in the OG).

Also:
-JENOVA is a genetically engineered weapon sent by FFIX Garland to breakdown the Lifestream as a back-up if the Terra-Gaia fusion in FFIX didn't work out, hence her similar appearence to Soulcage.
-Hellmasker was created from HOJO'S DNA.
-The version of Hojo in DC had suffered file corruption.
-Ever since I suggested this, I've held it as headcanon.

I liked the line where Tifa is reflecting on Vincent, and it seems to her that after Meteor he got up and left them like a stranger who sits next to you for a while on a crowded train. I thought that was pretty apt.

Anyway they're his characters, so maybe it's less a question of liking the story than of finding it interesting, in the same way that I would find it interesting if Jane Austen's sequel to Pride and Prejudice suddenly turned up in somebody's attic and Lizzie and Darcy were getting divorced. If it were fanfic, I wouldn't like it at all.

Ok so...I must not have paid much attention to Case of Tifa, is it suggesting that in the 5 years Cloud was in a tube that loads of new fruit and veg were discovered? He was out of the game for five years not 500 years. Thats just plain stupid.

I think it's implying Cloud never bothered learning the names of Fruits and Vegetables beyond the basic staples, and stuff he might have learned had he spent five years doing whatever, he missed out on by being an experiment in a tube and comatose for at least a part of that time.
