I see you used Leviathan in the boss fight against Valkyrie, just like in an older FFVIIR trailer.

Another chapter: done! Incredible lighting, mind-blowing devastation, and a lonely drake flying past the rubble at the beginning of the sequence leave a strong impression. On the flip side, now I understand fully why so many players have been complaining about the aerial combat. It's... inconvenient, to say the least. But running up, up, and once again, up, all in this gorgeous sunset, looks and feels so different to long dark corridors. But I have to agree, the buildings seemed empty to me. As if it had been a huge construction site, or an already abandoned district.

I think I caused Valkyrie to hit itself with its satellite beam.

I happened to do the same, which was very convenient as the battle had caught me unawares. I mean, I knew this battle would be coming, but didn't expect it to take place so soon. Speaking of Valkyrie, hiding from its bullets and running from box to box was such a nice callback to the OG when the party had to hide from Shinra guards when infiltrating HQ.

No more squeaky pole jumping, at least.

And no pole dancing either

When you're about to use the grappling gun on coiled ropes (I don't get it what makes these coiled ropes so good targets) and Barret said "By the way, how well you do with this grappling gun will tell us a whole lot about you." I thought for sure that a minigame would ensue and that I would embarrass myself. Thankful that I was saved from this indignity. I wonder if a minigame *was* planned and that's where Barret's line came from but that they ultimately scrapped the idea.

I don't see it as a scrapped minigame opportunity, to be honest. I'm also a tiny little bit annoyed that Barret served as quite a comic relief in this chapter. He was supposed to have anger management problems, yes, but some certain scenes were just slightly over the top. In that exact scene, after he says his introductory word about grappling guns, he lands the least gracefully among the three, which... should tell us a whole lot about him, shouldn't it?
