I think Fort Condor the location still exists. It's just going to be a completely different scenario (be it when the party first visits or the Huge Materia mission, assuming that still happens) in terms of gameplay. This video game is just so we can still play the minigame regardless.

FFVII Twitter used the term "Wutaian" in their Zhijie post. So is it Wutain or Wutaian?

I don't recall if either term was used in the novels. According to the wiki, Wutai's people are simply referred to as "Wutai".

They're both pretty much the same. Just a spelling.
It's Woo-Tie-N or Woo-Tie-An.
The transition to the N is gonna make them practically the same.
It's not Woo-Tane either way.

Something interesting about AVALANCHE.

Apparently, their rank or position in the organization is emblazoned on their outfits.

Zhijie is G "A" Army.

Nayo is "A" S.O.

The poor resolution of Billy Bob's render makes it too difficult to read the rank on his shirt, but the red A is definitely there.

Polk seems to be also G "A" Army like Zhijie.

I wonder what these ranks mean.

Also, I don't know if anyone's noticed... But Sonon's outfit carries samurai armor parts, specifically spaulders and gauntlets. And these parts correspond to the armor of members of the Wutai army. He even uses a lance, except it doesn't carry a secondary gun function.. As far as we know. Very interesting...

The "A" is from the Avalanche logo, so presumably just designates that.
Army maybe just designates non officer status of Avalanche militia.
S.O. could be Staff Officer.

I don’t mind fort condor being cut, if it means dev time spent on more important places.

I do mind, since the whole point of a multi part project, was to prevent anything from having to be cut.

I feel a little bit of both ways about it, but I've been expecting Fort Condor's role to be streamlined anyway. Not necessarily reduced, but definitely tinkered with.

I think Fort Condor will at least appear for the huge materia search. I'm not sure about the first part. And I'm pretty sure it will be vastly different than the mini game in the OG, which sucks and really need to be entirely redone - it just wouldn't work the way Remake is anyway. The game that this new character is playing evidently refers to the OG mini-game, it's sort of a tongue-in-cheek reference because I'm pretty sure the devs have noticed that this wasn't the fans' favourite part.

But, do I expect Fort Condor to show up, at the very least during the huge materia search? Yes. Do I expect the mini game to be no more and be entirely different with a whole chapter dedicated to Fort Condor and the protection of the Condor? Absolutely. The existence of this game *in game* made me snort - really? A popular game? lol - but it didn't make me change my opinion about that part of the OG and how we'll discover it in Remake.
