FFVIIR at TGS 2019 (NEW TRAILER!)

I'm obviously in the minority, but I don't really want to see so much of what's in the Remake. I'm happy to wait and be pleasantly surprised.
On one hand, I'd love to be pleasantly surprised but on the other, I'm eager to learn more.
But that's all irrelevant as I'm probably the one getting spoiled the most for obvious reasons, haha.

However, that's also a form of entertainment. Trying to figure out as much as possible before the game releases and then seeing which predictions pan out and which don't.

I'm excited either way!

... the downsides to possess a superior (alien) brain, I guess? ;)

Ryvius, do you favour speedos or swim trunks?
Dammit, I just spent the last half hour trying to find Karameruderei's fan art of the Turks in jackets and speedos and I can't.

PS As you can see my images are currently hosted at photobucket. I'm trying to transfer them to imgur but I can't get the ones at imgur to display. Does anyone have any advice? Fixed it.

I'm right there with you.

I recently finished a blind playthrough of Sekiro. This wasn't intentional, I just bought it on a whim after seeing the excellent reviews. It was pretty cool not being able to anticipate literally anything. Typically with a game I'm looking forward to, I'm there. I must've watched every Metal Gear Solid V trailer about fifty times. This was pretty fun, but honestly when playing the game a lot of scenes lost their punch. The trailers were all the highlights, all perfectly cropped to some amazing music. However, whenever a cutscene started my brain was like "Oh this moment is from the E3 2014 trailer". It was like I had already seen the climax and was just watching the buildup. In contrast, Sekiro was full of intrigue and excitement.

The two things I wanted to know the most about FF7R were addressed during its E3 presentation:
1) Where Part 1 will end
2) An overview of the gameplay

I'm thinking I could try avoiding trailers for the Remake from now on. I'm not sure where to draw the line after that though. Are screenshots okay? Can I still read developer comments? Should I stop coming to this part of TLS? The wait doesn't bother me. I'm getting older, time is going by faster. Every month feels shorter and shorter haha.

The worst part is I won't be able to watch Vyzzuvazzadth's videos. Maybe I could just leave them on, muted and in a different tab...

The same thing happened to me with KH3. I watched all the trailers and kept up with the latest news, and subsequently ended up "ruining" the game for me. Very little to no surprises.

I should avoid news, but I don't have that amount of self-control. :'(

No worries, You can binge watch all my videos after you beat the game in March/April. I don't think my channel will tank just because I lose 1 viewer during the first few days after an upload ^^

I did something similar for FFXV where I only listened to YouTube videos at first and then avoided everything a few weeks or even months before launch and then caught up on everything I missed after beating the game.

Gotta ask before this thread blows up from TGS news: Do you feel avoiding FFXV trailers and news made a positive or negative impact on your experience with the game?

Despite having an ultimately bad experience indulging in MGSV's marketing campaign, I followed the hype train leading up to Devil May Cry 5 (though I skipped the final trailer) and my experience there was great. Honestly, when I think back on DMC5, my memories of playing the game and looking forward to its release with its community are pretty much inseparable. I believe this topic has been talked about before on this forum? About how a huge part of media experiences today involve social media which allows fans to easily engage with communities and developers (possibly relating to FFXV)? Not sure if I want to miss that.

I think so, yes. It felt fresher going in because I stopped watching the more spoilery stuff. The closer to the release, the more things get spoiled (see the later KH3 trailers). And regarding KH3, I think I've see too much as practically nothing was new or exciting anymore.

EDIT: Trailer is supposed to drop on the 12th at 12 am JST, 11th at 5 pm CEST and 11th at 11 am EST, according to some digging of Redditors.
