I'm obviously in the minority, but I don't really want to see so much of what's in the Remake. I'm happy to wait and be pleasantly surprised.
I'm right there with you.
I recently finished a blind playthrough of Sekiro. This wasn't intentional, I just bought it on a whim after seeing the excellent reviews. It was pretty cool not being able to anticipate literally anything. Typically with a game I'm looking forward to, I'm there. I must've watched every Metal Gear Solid V trailer about fifty times. This was pretty fun, but honestly when playing the game a lot of scenes lost their punch. The trailers were all the highlights, all perfectly cropped to some amazing music. However, whenever a cutscene started my brain was like "Oh this moment is from the E3 2014 trailer". It was like I had already seen the climax and was just watching the buildup. In contrast, Sekiro was full of intrigue and excitement.
The two things I wanted to know the most about FF7R were addressed during its E3 presentation:
1) Where Part 1 will end
2) An overview of the gameplay
I'm thinking I could try avoiding trailers for the Remake from now on. I'm not sure where to draw the line after that though. Are screenshots okay? Can I still read developer comments? Should I stop coming to this part of TLS? The wait doesn't bother me. I'm getting older, time is going by faster. Every month feels shorter and shorter haha.
The worst part is I won't be able to watch Vyzzuvazzadth's videos. Maybe I could just leave them on, muted and in a different tab...
