I don't like online games. I don't like to cooperate with other players, and I don't wanna waste too much time for those games anymore, so meh. :monster:

I never played one, actually cuz I never felt like paying to play a game... I'll probably buy this one though.

But I don't get it. Isn't FFXIII going to be released in 2010 too?

The PS3 is really good in terms of online play so utilizing it for FFXIV will be a good idea. I think it could work out wonderfully and be a lot more fun than people are giving it credit for. The PS3 capabilities are just ripe for online play experience.

Makes me kinda sad since FFXI won't get that kinda treatment and will soon die :monster:

A lot of people have been working hard on that game.

@megas_sephiroth

THAT'S THE POINT. HENCE THE SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!! :monster:

I'll believe when I see it. I have FFXIII pre-ordered on amazon since last year or whatever because it said the game was gonna be released last May. Then it went from May to 2010...

What? When the hell did they say FFXIII was coming out last year? Wtf are you talking about? And that's silly to make a pre-order for something that's not even done yet.

Amazon puts in random pre-release dates a lot of the time for no reason. A Dance with Dragons was supposed to be out May of last year according to them and we all know how that worked out :monster:

anyway this looks interesting but I doubt I'll get it since I have little interest in MMOs :monster:

Wait, it's an MMO but it's on a console, not the PC? Does the PS3 have a keyboard and a way to connect to your computer network? I r confused.

I also have little interest in FF MMOs, though. FF games should be 1 player games with main characters and stories. I'd be interested in going the MMO route if our group here all played it together and made a guild/clan/whatever, but I'm not sure about the whole PS3 thing.

Why didn't they just call it FFXI-2 if they're making another MMO?

Ps3 has usb functionality for keyboards, a mouse, even pointer devices like tablets. There are also mics for voice chat as well. I think the game's going to be on PC too though.

The onboard wireless adapter makes online gaming quick and easy too.

FF XI was gay, imho. :monster: So glad they started out fresh with this new one.

If you want to talk about gullibility, let's go over how many release dates they spat out for FF XIII.

There has never been an official release date for FFXIII. Ever. That's false advertisement and it's silly to ever pre-order a game without a definite schedule of release. Especially when its not even done. They've actually been quite on target with FFXIII's release.

As MMORPGs and Final Fantasy, they do work out well. FFXI was good, and most players who play it can attest to it. It's an acquired taste and you definitely DO have to work hard at it. Which I guess would be off putting. But then again, it's not for the faint of heart and it requires a lot of time and skill.

I think FFXIV will be better because they'll have the mistakes and experiences of FFXI to go from and the PS3 is perfect for online multiplayer. If they fully utilize the PS3's capabilities, the game will be very fun and very epic.

They also have very successful MMOs they can learn from like WoW

Why is it silly? They don't charge it to the credit card till they're shipping it. And they did send me an e-mail with the new release date.

As for it not even being done, I honestly didn't know and even if I did, I wouldn't have cared...

I don't like the fact that I have to pay monthly to play a Final Fantasy Game. I'd rather pay 100€ for one game.

If the monthly fee is something like 12-14 dollars then seriously, its nothing to bitch about. It ain't that expensive. Stop being a cheap Charlie. :monster:

Not me, but my parents, who forbid me of doing that! :monster:

Damn the fact I can't live on my own... (it happened with FFXI. I had it, before they were like: "You have to pay each month to play? WTF NO!")

That's why I don't like it...
